First Indian family who is forcing their kid to not join med school but do fashion...
and possibly the first Indian families who would defeat the very purpose of the arranged marriage system in India (where parents play an equal or more part in their child's choice of partner... where parents investigate and speculate thoroughly in order to try and ensure their child has a better life ahead! Isnt that why arranged marriages more successful than love marriages... the joint forces of the prior investigations, the family agreements and the more 'docile' bahus) [hey love marriage brigade i am only quoting statistics here... 😛 so dont stone me...😆]
these families seem decent enough to be able to fend for themselves (i.e. not driven by the need/poverty)... the girls are educated, so it is not like they are not capable of getting other decent jobs... 😕... all their daughters are beautiful, so its not like they would not get better grooms...
Hence, these families would be the first encouraging/ forcing their daughters
to sell herself and demean herself on a national TV show
to sell herself to a man who belongs to a politician's family
to sell herself to a man whose father was murdered by his own brother (May PM's sould rest in peace, but shouldnt this very fact send chills to a prospective bride's family... i.e. shouldn't this depict that the morals and ideals of the family could be questionable here...)
to sell herself to a man who is quite a few years older to her and far less graceful in behaviour (especially in the company of other girls...the more beautiful the company, the less graceful his beahviour)
to sell herself to a man who has already been married to a "supposed" childhood sweetheart, where the marraige ended with allegations of domestic abuse
to sell herself to a compulsive flirt with open/widely known proof of his kaarnaame...
to sell herself to a known drug addict who is still having a pending case on him...
to sell herself to a man whose future is very unstable... is not necessarily from the richest/most powerful family and has been apparently turned down by the BJP themselves...
Then, did the rishtaas that Nikunj get turn out worse than the above mentioned 😉
had my parents known that any of my 'friends' (forget 'partner') posed any of the above qualities (or rather lack of them) then any such an affiliation would have been promptly dissuaded with all the necessary steps required to do so😆...but then again, i come from a background of strict upbringing, so all this seems to be alien to me....
but strict upbrginging or not... one would think that the very role of a parent is to be protective of one's child.. (basic animal instinct and trait) and these very families seem to be lacking that...
that or some very sinister plot behind all of this that we are being kept uninformed about 😛
anyway, till now these girls seemed an enigma to be..but, from now on its the families that are the biggest mystery in this puzzle of RDLJ
