Armaan left Riddhima because after the shootout he was diagnosed with Pyschotic Disorder (because he hit his head on the glass table most likely) which means that he will lose his mental balance in a few months and he knew that Riddhima wouldn't be able to see him like that (and he wanted her to have a better life than the one he could give her) so he left.

Whether KSG will return as Armaan no-one knows as yet but SBS and other news channels have said he will return on Valentine's Day.
