"Armaan, leave that book and come pack your bags, I can't find a single thing in your wardrobe and its driving me nuts" Riddhima shouted staring at the jumble of clothes infront of her.
"Uh huh, just a sec" Armaan answered absentmindedly flipping through the book.
"Armaaan please, you have been sitting there reading that stupid catalogue for more than an hour now, I don't care how it works, just keep it aside and help me pack" Riddhima said already exasperated at her husband of just a week.
In response Armaan merely nodded his head, while still going through the catalogue. Riddhima scowled at him and then turned to the offending object which was the reason for Armaan's distraction. Somebody had thought that the best wedding gift to give to them would be a 'Garlic Peeler'. For the life of her Riddhima could not understand what she would do with it, why was such a large instrument required to do a job as simple as that of peeling garlics.
Armaan ofcourse had found his new toy and quickly set about trying to understand and set it up. Oh yes, she forgot to mention, they had to assemble the various parts before they could use it. So now there were nearly 50 different parts lying around Armaan who after trying for a few times on his own, had picked up the catalogue to read the instructions.
"Armaan, for the last time, leave it alone" Riddhima said folding her clothes and keeping them in the bag. "But Riddhima, it will help you cook, seriously give me 5 mins, I got it" Armaan replied.
Riddhima rolled her eyes at him,"Armaan, I could have peeled hundreds of garlics by now, trust me I will never use that thing". When Armaan still did not budge Riddhima lost her temper,"Armaaaan! Urghhh! Get up and help me pack, we have to leave in 2 hours and you are just wasting your time".
"Fineee! What?" Armaan pouted as he left the book and got up. If only she would give him some more time, he could set the thing up. It was seriously not too hard for a guy like him. "Thank you. Now I have packed all your shirts but I can't find a single pant or short, where are they?" Riddhima asked relieved that he had finally given up.
Instead of answering Armaan walked to her wardrobe and opening a drawer took out some of his shorts and pants and handed it to her. Confused, Riddhima started folding and putting them in his bag,"Why were they in my wardrobe?".
Armaan smirked,"Remember what I said, your wardrobe, my wardrobe, same thing". Riddhima frowned at him,"You are not sharing my wardrobe Armaan, you take out one thing and mess up five others. I seriously can't live like that, and before you ask, no I am taking my own baggage, yours is seperate".
"Riddhimaa, tum kitni selfish ho, ek main hoon, jisne tumhare saath apna ghar, apna room yahan tak ki apna bathroom bhi share kiya, aur tum ho ki, ek bag nahi share kar sakti, chi chi chi" Armaan teased shaking his head at her. Riddhima gaped at him for a minute and then starting hitting him while Armaan ran for his dear life away from his sweet wife.
Finally, despite all the delays, they caught their flight and after an eight hour journey with a short stop over at Singapore they arrived at Gold Coast, Australia.
Riddhima yawned as she waited near the baggage carousel. She was feeling extremely jet lagged and could not wait to jump in a nice soft bed. Even Armaan was exhausted as he rested his head on Riddhima's shoulders, his eyes only half open looking for their luggage.
After half an hour, Riddhima was getting agitated, it seemed everybody's bags had come, even Armaan but her's was still not in site. After the carousel stopped she started panicking and shook Armaan who had dozed off on her shoulder.
"What do you mean it is in Singapore? What am I supposed to do for the two weeks here with my husband on our honeymoon without clothes?" Riddhima shouted now fully awake as she confronted the personnel at the lost baggage counter. The two men looked sheepish as they faced the indian couple before them. The man was calm but the womon looked ready to kill.
"How can you leave it there, the tag clearly says Australia, arghhh!!!" Riddhima said frustrated as she felt Armaan's arms around her trying to calm her down. "Shhh, calm down jaan" Armaan whispered softly in her ears. Riddhima visibly relaxed and leaned into Armaan, she knew that it was a simple mistake, but she was tired, hungry and sleepy.
"How soon can we get it back?" Armaan asked the two men rubbing Riddhima's arms.
"We will get it back on the next plane sir, which will be......umm........2 days" One of them answered hesitantly, looking at Riddhima. Riddhima glared at them and walked away leaving Armaan standing at the counter.
"Sir?" One of the men called out to Armaan as he walked away, seeing Armaan stop and look at them, he said,"You are welcome, Enjoy your honeymoon" winking at him waved him away.
Armaan choked back a laugh and shook his head at the security guards as he followed Riddhima. Oh yes! This was gonna be one hell of a honeymoon.
They arrived in Palazzo Versace in a rented car checked in their room. Still a bit upset by the loss of her baggage, Riddhima flopped down on the bed. "Hey sweetheart, whats up? Did you not like the room?" Armaan asked bending down on his knees infront of her.
"No Armaan, the room's great. I just..........I feel sweaty, I wanna change" Riddhima said in a small voice looking at him. Armaan smiled at her,"Jaaan, don't you know, When Armaan's here, never fear. Wait a sec".
Riddhima looked at him in confusion when he got up and left the room. She started giggling when she saw him return with a pair of his own shirt and shorts,"Armaaan, hehehe these are your clothes".
Armaan smiled seeing her happy mood,"I know baba, but didn't I tell you that we should share. Dekha agar meri baat suni hoti to tumhare kuch kapre mere bag main hote aur mere kuch kapre tumhare bag main, phir kissi ko koi problem nahi hoti. Par madam sune tab na, ab sudhar jao aur meri saari baat sunne lago, samjhi" Armaan said.
"Yes sir" Riddhima saluted him making Armaan laugh. "Love you" Armaan said kissing her on the nose, Riddhima beamed at him and whispering an 'I love you' back went to change.
After sometime she came out, Armaan's shirt drooping near the shoulders, tied around the waist and tightening the belt he had given for holding up his shorts,"Armaan, I feel ridiculous, why are your clothes so big?".
Recieving no answer she looked up and found no Armaan, but on the bed a simple 100 was written with rose petals. Just when she opened her mouth to call out to Armaan, his arms circled around her as he whispered,"Happy 100th Anniversary".
Riddhima turned and looked at him,"How long was I changing?" she asked sarcastically.
"Hahaha very funny, basket. It has been 100 weeks exact since we met, but ofcourse Madam No Romance forgot" Armaan said proudly.
"100 weeks??? Seriously??? Armaan, you celebrate the weirdest of things, I swear" Riddhima said.
"Hey, I can make up any reason to celebrate with my beautiful wife" Armaan said defending his actions. Riddhima just shook her head at him and turned to kiss him. Armaan kissed her back enthusiastically and carried her to the bed.
"I love it when you find stupid reasons to be with me" Riddhima whispered as she broke the kiss.
"I am glad, coz I am not stopping anytime soon" Armaan whispered back making Riddhima laugh.
Lying on the bed Armaan brought Riddhima closer to him who laid her head on his chest and wrapped her arms around each other. Tired from the long journey and the wait at the airport, the jet lag finally caught up with them.
Just before sleeping Riddhima whispered,"I love your clothes Armaan, I am not giving them back, remember : sharing".
Armaan smiled down at her and bringing her closer to himself gave in to the sleep.
