Mumbai has just got a new art gallery and it is on the unlikeliest of places. The gallery has sprung up on the lawns of the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC). On Derby day, one spotted a few paintings dotting that lawn.
Now, once again on February 12, there will be a collection of contemporary paintings on the lawns during the Dr S C Jain Sprinters' Trophy. Actor Preity Zinta has been invited to be at the race course to present the trophy.

Hmmm… we wonder if Preity is aware of the Wadia connection to the Mahalaxmi race course. The late Sir Cusrow N Wadia was responsible for the ground on which she will stand on Sunday.
It was Wadia who was responsible for the race course shifting from Byculla to Mahalaxmi in 1883. That is why we bring this up. The Wadia connection and Ness Wadia and Preity Zinta and all ye who follow the filmi gup shup know then, that this makes some horse sense.
By the way, the Jains will also present a Ganesha art piece to the winning owner, and another work in silver, The Dancing Ganesha as a prize to attendees who correctly nominate the winner of The Jain Trophy. Preity good, huh? Hope it hasnt been posted!😳
