An idol role | ||
| ||
Sony approached me and insisted that I play this character. Also, Balaji was keen on having me.
* What's Prithvi all about?
Prithvi is a boy whom you would like to take to your mom! He is friendly, down to earth and very supportive of people around him.
* Do you relate to the character in real life too?
No, I can't! I am not that innocent. But yes, his stylisation matches mine.
* What's the storyline of the serial?
It's about the fresh and the young brigade, away from the usual saas-bahu shows. The audience would relate to the characters instantly. You can call it a light-hearted show.
* Did you undergo any change of looks for this show?
Not really. I am still very much the way I look otherwise. The only change that you would see is that instead of those hugging T-shirts, I'll be wearing designer shirts. Rest is the same. It's a very laid-back kind of look.
* Would you continue with television or shift to Bollywood?
I'm here for some time. But I want to do films. It all depends on the roles I get. I also want to sing.
* Did Indian Idol provided you with a big platform?
Oh yes! Indian Idol gave me a huge platform. Though, everyone kept telling me to act, I wanted to sing. And then Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai happened!
* Do you think Abhijeet Sawant was the right Indian Idol?
He is awesome. Abhijeet deserves to be where he is! |
