So far this season I have seen that the dances are borderling on vulgarity.......The contestants are asked to be romantic and show emotions.................Some sequences and positions are very vulgar..............I dont know why they are trying to do this. Dances can be beautiful without being vulgar. The costumes can be tastily done and than looking cheap. The dances are getting very physical. Also this group of dancers are not that good like last time. In DID 1 there very many good dancers like JAy Salman Prince Sidhesh Alisha...etc. and each one of them had very strong techniques. They looked more serious about the show. Now it feels like they are trying to attract audiences based on being vulgar. They have also started this drama about the contestant and the host being in love. When they resort to this this early in the contest, then you know that they know that this contestants are not that good and the show is flopping. I have not been impressed with anybodys choreography yet at all........................I think this is going to be a flop show this time around...........

Hi Guys, Well I read the comments my topic has generated so far..............and I thought I will explain myself.....I need to make a difference between vulgarity and artistic(Tasteful)............The difference is very small and it is easy to go from one to another easily and I feel this this time around they are crossing the line....going to vulgarity. mainly due to costumes and and body movements. The girls tend to tend more like strippers thr' costumes and body movements.....and the judges keep calling them HOT......when someone calls you HOT it means only one thing................CHEAP............ I dont understand this at all.....Last nights episode they said this about so many girls and that says something about vulgarity.............

I soo agree with you.. almost all Girls outfits are revealing..and movements hv became very bold in the name of performances..

I was watching last night DID with my in laws.. I got up and went away once Remo angels stared dancing the dresses and the moves were so vulgar.. bit too much for me..

I love DID but this season tend to be too bold

so agree with the topic starter...remo girls were shabbily dressed up....in fact they didn't need to be dressed up this way esp on national tv.. though in movies its okay.....terrence also used some vulgar steps in his choreography...

This show is promoting vulgarity and nakedness in the name of dance. First of all they selected only those who are good looking, has good body and legs. Then they are revealing their beauty. Last year we saw only one kamasutra act but this year it looks all acts are kama sutra act. Zee should know we are sitting in our living room and watching not in Khajuraho. Bare back, skimpy dresses, vulgar dance sequence etc should be stopped. Poor Ameeth tried classical dance and got eliminated.

While I do agree that this time around the dances are more risque there are several examples where this has not been the case:
On 01.15.09
1. Puneet Naresh, Shashank performance
2. Vandana and Shakti's performance
3. Nagoba Dharmesh and Binni's performance

Last week on 01.09 when Shakti and Kunwar performed I thought they had good chemistry and while you don't necessarily need a good "physical" chemistry it is important to know and understand you partner to have a flawless performance. Also when Amit and Kishore performed there was no "sexual vulgarity" when The trip from Geeta Ki Gang performed they were funny as well with their disco # and THE Mahishasur/Durga/Tiger performance was not bad either!!! so while a few songs are a bit more out there than others they are no less beautiful

excluding nikitasha, meenu, and bhavna's performence all the other performence were beautiful even if they were risky.

Disagree, Teena is NOT good looking 🤢😆😆....the rest are just okay. They are dancers, obviously they would have good body since their work requires alot of working out, sweating in the gym and practising dance moves day in and day out.....so generally dancers tend to have a good body so they can be flexible and more spontaneous in their dance, you would rarely seen an over weight dancer, unless their is something wrong with their metabolism.

hmmm between Ameeth and Kishore, i thought Kishore was much better and deserved to stay.....nothing to do with classical form or not. They selected Kruti when she tried classical, so they are not biased in regards to the forms of dancing they are presenting. Ameeth is excellent in facial expression but lacks movement.

I thought, i read somewhere that Remo would try more classical form with his students, so far ive seen nothing and i didnt expect this kinda dance comin from Remo. The only female contestant who has dressed decently so far is binny, i am eagerly waiting for her skimpy outfits 😆😆

bare back is okay i think....i mean,as long as their fronts are covered decently 😆

tina is not good looking but do you really have to mention that? atleast she is not a bad dancer.. tina is not pretty but i hardly pay attention to her looks, she is what she is and i have no problem with it.

Err to the person who quoted me, chupke mentioned they choose people based on looks and i just stated my opinion to that. If they selected contestants based on looks then teena would never be in that show...so yes, it was very much important for me to mention teena to justify what i wrote. Its not like i mentioned her out of nowhere.

I disagree. Just because something is risque and sensual does not mean that it is vulgar. There are many dance forms that like rumba etc that are meant to be somewhat erotic in the romance, and there is nothing cheap about that.

There is a difference between being vulgar/cheap and being artistically sensual. Vulgar would be rude pelvic thrusts, glaring sexual motions and simulations, and selling only the provocation instead of dance. If a concept calls for sensuality and the dancers deliver it through dancing, making sure that the technique and posture is conveyed and the movements reflect fluidity and poetry then its not really vulgar.

Although......most people are just prudish and everything on screen is just vulgar and cheap.
