Do you think that what Dadisa did makes her mahan?

I've been thinking about this since the episode where Anandi's mother Bhago falls at Dadisa's feet and says you are such a great woman, I'm so lucky that Anandi married into your family?
I don't understand, does it make her really so great? Yes, it is a good, even noble act, but a lot of women bring up a relative's child as their own without ever complaining, it's quite common in India. And it doesn't excuse everything she has done in the past. What do you all think?
