OP?I've heard this reasoning before. One of my friends is a manager at a retail store, and he tells all this trainees to stay away from Indians because he claims that they never buy anything (even though he is Indian himself). Although, I splurge 24/7 and am hardly a bargain shopper?but I have seen the kind of behavior you have descried in the original post.

Regardless, re the thread title?.India is actually considered a well regarded country. And no matter where I go, I get nothing but respect from people. Although, I understand there are ppl. who obviously harbor certain dislikes/distaste for us?but I think that happens everywhere. I don't think India's name is spoiled (at least I hope not because of this petty reason)?but I see where you're coming from OP--it is a great point!

I completely agree with you that Indians have respect everywhere. They have always added value in education, science and finance. Only point I am trying to make is..if we work on few things..we can bring more respect may be more than what we have...and learning few more good things will do no harm😊

u know, u aren't gonna make ppl stop bargaining by posting ur bad experiences here...
If u wanna do something or make some change, the next time u see some of those bargainers or whatever, just go to them and tell them "Aunty, this is not done, spending a few more coins in what r u gonna buy won't take ur life..."
Anyway, i'm wondering, do ppl really mind Indian's habits while they shop? 😕 ppl just dont care! let them think what they want, coz as u said, India and Indians have got good things too, yes, we have the obligation of trying to reach perfection but not just talking and posting posts in a forum, if ur really obsessesively worried about this topic, do something, go on, and then show us how much the world improved when an Indian stopped bargaining.
Besides, bargain habits is just something that ppl started to do coz they didn't have much money to spend, and they cared for their savings, now it's not so much like that, so they'll start to change by theirselves, relax! on the other way, bad times are coming in these occidental countries, and i'm sure now they will start bargaining, coz now it's them who care for their money savings.

I am confused here😕😕 why are we taking this as a offense...and I am not trying to bring bad name...no Gora is going to visit this forum or post comments...I am just trying to understand why we do that ...and when I am saying returning thngs after using it purposefully and wasting some one's time...it is just for spreading awareness that we should not do this or try to educate people to stop this...and this is not about comparing with Gora or not..it is just about being polite and wel behaved...And, trust me just like you all I am a proud indian too but I am just trying to create more reasons to be proud..👏👏

aw please, do u think we really care about who in the world visits this forum/thread?
BTW, i just realized that this annoying habit (returning things after using em) is popularly known and done here! America, Europe, and etc (goras countries u know) we have seen american serials where ppl do this as a normal thing. And, leave tv, i have seen it in my own relatives shop! spanish customers returning products just coz they have used it and they won't need it anymore, and not to mention in the big malls, these kind of things r done everyday, where u can return something widout even give a reason.

I can't believe this...You are again doing the same thing...you are comparing our behavior with some bad behavior...so you are saying we should be like them ....cummon I am talking about learning some good habit and you are giving bad examples....returning with genuine problem is fair....and that is the whole reason why these stores have the policy..but misuse is bad...if we have call our selves developed we should behave like one...I know Spanish guys do that too...blacks do that too...goras do that too...have you seen any person with good earning doing that...and we even after having good job (no desi will stay in this country without jobs)..we are doing it...as I was giving examples...desi consultants goes of 3-6 month projects..buy the stuffs and return it...its very common..and they talk about this with pride...and just because of these things stores are changing their policies....so… someone with genuine problem will suffer because of this...you think this is fair...I doubt it...

Yes, I understand you now, but then we're going back to the same old thing. You should have worded yoruself better. And yes, we are trying to improve ourselves. I think everyone has told you that on this topic. But still you go on nagging about how Indians do this, do that. If you aren't trying to understand us, how are we supposed to understand you?

India is STILL not considered a debeloped country.. they call it "emergengig market" I know Spanish guys do that too...blacks do that too...goras do that too...have you seen any person with good earning doing that... yes and we even after having good job (no desi will stay in this country without jobs)..we are doing it... accept it! it's an old habit and it will take a time to change, after some years more there will be even Indians who pay more than what the prize requires, what about the tips in the restaurants and hotels? what about not claiming the change? come on don't tell me u haven't seen anyone doing these. as I was giving examples...desi consultants goes of 3-6 month projects..buy the stuffs and return it...its very common..and they talk about this with pride...and just because of these things stores are changing their policies....so' someone with genuine problem will suffer because of this...you think this is fair...I doubt it... I just told you that it happens in my own relative's store too.. 😕 did u read it?
