I always tried to watch Bidaai and Yeh Rishtey...as a neutral viewer, but only to fall in more and more love with Sadhna's and Akshara's character, how calm and composed these two girls are, even when faced with the toughtest situation. Sadhna is composed and never deviated from the path of truth and her love never fell short even for those people who are mentally torturing her so much. Akshara is some one who knows that her duty is to bring happiness and colours to Nandini's life, and she will never deviate from that goal. Its not that Nandini is not loved by others, but Akshara is keen to have Nandini lead a life of confidence and be natural.
Thinking logical is one major aspect of my profession. I like to study characters and wait to find out whether my judgement comes out to be correct. One such is Ragini's character. Almost a year ago, I used to have discussions with my friends that Ragini will falter when time comes. I always found Ragini to be an extremely simple girl, but always a bit waivering like any average girl would do. and I feel that is what made Ragini a favourite, as most girls can relate to her. Sadhna and Akshara are two characters who are gold standards, people usually are not like them. They are too good to be believed sometime. They are ideal characters. But Ragini has been a character whom we can relate more easily, she thinks like an average girl, her dreams are like an average girl and her reactions to situations are also somewhat that any average person will do. I feel that is the uniqueness of Ragini's character.
Ragini is not expected to act and think like Sadhna, because she is an individual with her own qualities. Thats the reason, her frustration and anger in this incident is to some extent explainable and expected also. She might be tremendously hurt and might enter into a state of shock. What is not expected from her are certain stuff.... first of all, she is believing dear Mummyji and her mother that Sadhna was always jealous of her happiness. Secondly, the way she is interacting with Alekh, she is advising Alekh to bring back Sadhna, but at the same time, making it very clear that Sdahna does not matter to her....so she is again playing safe here, that she never want Alekh and Sadhna to stay away but....
Thus Ragini's state of shock can be justified, but is it expected from Ragini to utter dialogues what she is uttering about Sadhna. Is she really in a state of shock.... No Ragini, please come back to your senses, there are certain damages which once done can never be rectified...Ragini's character is a lesson for all people..
For me, Ragini was a character who could turn any direction and I must appreciate that this change in Ragini's character is very well sketched and very well acted ny Parul....
