I am back with a new poem. I know we are all mad about the direction that LNMDJ is taking. But bear with me while I explain something. We all loved LNMDJ the way it was and we are grieving the loss of that LNMDJ. I just realized that I went through the 5 stages of grief since I heard of this new "gharelu" track.
Denial: Everything is going to be ok - how bad can it get? This passed really fast for me - ohh maybe 10 seconds after I heard of the gharelu track. 😆
Anger: I have done enough venting and raging and I am not proud of this - but better to get it out of your system than bottle it up. This was the longest phase.
Bargaining: Oh maybe they could have done this instead or done that instead.
Depression: I was depressed this morning (other things also went wrong too but now everything is fine 😃)
Acceptance: I have accepted that this track is going to run its course like all others. It has already started - we cannot stop the track but we can definitely make our views known and see if they shorten it. 😳
So how did I deal with this. I am an analytical person - I see a problem and then think of how to solve it. Now-a days I also seemed to have started expressing my thoughts in poetry. So here goes
The current track has left all of us fuming
We are unable to fathom what the makers are doing
To stop watching LNMDJ many of us are threatening
But let's face it, who are we really hurting?
If we love LNMDJ like we really claim
We cannot let it die, that would be a real shame
We have vented our anger and frustration
In post after post in succession
Let's turn our rage into something constructive
Come on folks, it's time to get creative.
Let us brainstorm together in this hour of need
We need to stick together, is everybody now up to speed?
I know this track leaves a taste in your mouth that is bitter
Ideas, thoughts and suggestions are the need of the hour
This track is disaster with a capital D
We need to get word to the powers-to-be.
Let me ask you something
Will you come back if a new track does begin?
If this track irks you, I have a suggestion
Stay away from LNMDJ for its duration
This track will end pretty soon
That my friends will be a real boon
When that happens please do come back
If you do not the future of this great show is bleak.
Finally I just want to ask if one saying you recall
United we stand divided we fall
This is the time for all LNMDJians to unite
Together, we can fight the good fight
We can hope to set everything right
LNMDJ will once again shine bright.
So folks that said, we need to think constructively. Let us step back and think about what can be done to salvage the situation. If one of us sends a mail to starone or leaves a scrap on facebook - it will not make much of a difference. But if we do it together - they cannot ignore us. So tell me if you think this is a good idea. If it is then please put the email address(es) for starone down, give people a facebook link, ask anyone who knows anything about the television industry to see if we can get word to the CVs and the Starone execs about how badly this track is being received and that it is being universally panned. Get your friends, neighbors, relatives - anyone you can think of who cares about LNMDJ to do this as well. We need all the support we can get. We need to do this to save our LNMDJ. Remember "UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL".
If we do this and scream as a group "Unhe hamari awaaz ko sunna hiiiii hooogggaaa" 😉
