Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan told a magazine that he's thinking about marrying his Italian girlfriend, but has not yet started considering a date.
Bollywood weddings have always been a big news in India and Khan's luck has favoured him in the past year with lead roles in hits like Parineeta and Salaam Namaste.
Saif separated last year from his wife, Amrita Singh, after 14-years of marriage, and has since started dating Rosa, an Italian woman.
Asked if he had any plans to marry Rosa, Khan reportedly told Stardust magazine: "That is the direction I'm thinking about." "But we have not set a date yet," he was quoted as saying in the magazine's February issue.
Khan, who has previously declined to talk about his relationship publicly, reportedly told Stardust that similarities between Indian and Italian culture drew the couple together.
"Women from southern Italy and India are closer than you would imagine in terms of family," he was quoted as saying. As for his widely reported marital strife with Singh, with whom he has a daughter and son, Khan said the two had put their differences behind them.
"She is one of the most important people I know and I hope to have a long-standing fruitful relationship with her," he reportedly said.
Neither the actor nor his representatives could be reached to comment on the interview.
