hey guys
im new to the forum but i have been watching remix for quite some time now. whatz all this about season one and two? can some1 explain? thanx

Hey Kismin 😊

Remix originally aired 3-4 yrs back in India spanning two seasons.Season 1 is the one which is re-airing in US now a days (the one we are watching right now) and thats how all of us are getting to see it.But there is another season too which comes after season 1 ends and I guess its the continuation of the happenings in the current season.I hope I made sense.

Lolzzz there was no official season break because remix as such was not divided at all into seasons.

It is we fans who have created this distinction. Remix season one is the plotline which follows rebelde, the spanish original of remix.

At the time when the spanish original went for a season break, remix started deviating from the original. And so we call it season two.

By deviating, they not only cropped off many of the interesting side characters like MP, arjun, aman, RD sir etc they also cropped certain tracks esp the AY track, due to which we feel remix lost its charm. Remix also became a half-hourly from a full one hour show.

oh harshu I didn't know that there wasn't any official break between the seasons...😲 and also that they deviated from the rebelde storyline then 😲 well.. was there a season three in rebelde 😛??

Well there are two originals upon which remix was based.

The argentinian version which is the ultimate original since it was the first. It was called rebeldeWAY. It had two seasons, I think. They had a real band called as Erreway.

The mexican version called as rebelde. This version extended it more and had three seasons! They had a real band called as RBD.

Thanks for the info Harshu ...Ahhh so there was a third season of rebelde...okay then IF they agree to restart the show...they do have something to follow na incase they don't have any idea how to build up a story after all this time.Well lets see...

I would solemnly make them take a vow NOT to use their own brains.

They followed rebelde original storyline in season one.

Result: Remix was topping the charts.

They started using their own brains and created a khichdi.

Result: Remix was axed.

Indian television scriptwriters are no where near the talent present in their counterparts worldwide.

They SHOULD have followed rebelde storyline. There is a reason that it is famous worldwide and that there have been so MANY 'adaptations' of the same basic storyline and all have turned out winners in their respective countries! 👏

The original writer, you rock!

😆 😆 I agree...there is nothing like originality in the Indian story/script writers...their stories now a days are a big potpourri of various films and their scenes AND previous soaps...and the result is ..I am sure they won't be able to do justice to the characters of Remix. So its best if they follow the storyline of rebelde...thats the only rescue...😆
