I'm happy for Rani, DBH wasn't her best role to date but I definately enjoyed her in the film.

C'mon, someone should have sent me a PM at the least. Even under all these stresses and studies, I was worrying about Rani's future career.

The fact that she had won this award even after the film being a moderate success speaks of her talent.

Also, one doesn't need to act in "serious" sort-of roles to get critically acclaimed. Acting is about performing, and executing the role offered to you - that maybe the role of a comic, as much as it could be of a rape victim. As long as you have justified the role given to you by your full potential, there's no reason why you should be looked down by the critics just because it wasn't a serious role. This is why she was praised for performances like Hum Tum, Sathiya, etc etc, where her role was extremely simple and down-to-earth, but she managed to transform each of her role into something magical - something worth watching a trillion times.

I am pretty sure she is going to come with a bang in 2010 as well.

And by the way, did she not win the same award in 2005 as well? What was that for? Black?
