Buzz has it that the minute Salman Khan learnt that Viviek and Ash had split up, he reportedly called Viviek and told him that bad fortune was out of his life and things would now look up for him. According to a report he even offered his hand of friendship to Viviek Oberoi and was willing to let go off the past. Friends close to Ash maintained that from day one Ash had made it clear to Viviek that she was never going to marry him. "She had always maintained that he was a good friend. Yet, it was Viviek who kept showing off their relationship in print as if she was his trophy. Ash has never been open about her personal life to the media and Viviek should have known that." Ash's is friend also said that it was Salman Khan who had brought her ill fortune rather than the other way round. "He was the one who kept following her everywhere. She lost out on Chalte-Chalte because of him. He is the one who brought bad luck," the source said. On the other hand sources close to Salman Khan denied that he had called Viviek Oberoi and said things reported in the media.
