The Basis Behind Raj's Dad's Rejection?

Okay when Yash's mom rejected gurpreet in the beginning, most of us all hated her for doing that and depressing the poor girl but then afterwards when we saw gur be rude at times, most of the people instantly changed their minds on yash's mom and said what she did was a very smart thing and went on to say stuff like "parents are always right" etc etc

I think it is all scripted too. maybe sudesh rani really wanted to get her son married and made a deal with raj and his father. I like pribir, just saying there were stories that raj took a lot of money when he came back, then pri's sis hinted that they may not get married, then her brother tried to tell her that there may be a possibility; maybe raj shared this with pri at the date and that is why they fought, but they are showing only some pieces. I am just speculating. maybe none of this is true and it is all just scripted to get hitesh's marriage on tv. it is just strange that they show that janta really think pribir are #1 but next moment they show that rumpa won with an outstanding number of votes, does not make sense. looks like channel is trying to make their choice of perfect bride look plausible and not rigged.

(btw i personally never liked yash's mom and i still dont even if gur had or hadnt insulted her)

Now what is the basis behind raj's dad's rejection? father's intuition? i agree that he doesnt live in the house with them but even after meeting priyanka a few times he still wasnt shifting towards her...nor when his son and his wife came home and im sure they tried to convince him then as well and only said "yes" to just make raj happy even though he didnt really like pri himself

why was he so insistant on vrinda and pooja over priyanka?

would you consider raj's dad as 'right' as some considered yash's mom as 'right'?

To be fair, Pri has not had the chance to 'win over' Raj's dad that Gur had with Yash's mum.
however, good point raised - and i would like to add, ppl who insisted on Yash's mum giving a reason for disliking Gur, should also question Raj's dad on the same. We havent seen him at all since Raj came back on, so I wonder if he did actually ok Raj's coming back on the show, or if its some sort of a pact between the father-son (let me go back on the show and ill not marry pri at the end of it?) Mere speculation - I dont care whether Pri and Raj get married or not.

I have mixed feelings on this. I felt Yash's mother had every right to NOT like Gurprit even if Gurprit was flawless. Though that was not the case. Yash's mother wanted some qualities in her bahu that Gur lacked.
