muslims do not worship muhammad as God...he is our last prophet(spokesperson of god)
muslims believe in one GOD only & not muhammad he is like very holy man
& who thinks muhammad is God then he actullly not called a muslim & he didn,t marry 30 yrs younger girl

I believe it is wrong for Bollywood to portray any religion in a bad light or make fun of it, because it will hurt sentiments of many people, but what can we do, you know?
If we watch Bollywood movies, we just have to see them with a free mind and not take anything it shows to heart. Believe me, rarely does anyone take the "messages" shown in Bolly movies seriously, it's all just for entertainment, so even if religion is portrayed in a bad light, most people will not think that's how the religion really is. People are smarter than that.
But there are also some Bollywood movies which show some really nice films with good meanings, so we just have to use our mind to discern the good and bad from the film.
I personally really enjoyed the film Jodhaa Akbar, though the accuracy of some of the events may be questioned, it was really nicely taken, and it showed both Islam and Hinduism in a good light.

I dont think that the many Gods of Hinduism is to B taken literally. God here can mean different aspects eg when we pray to Godess Shakti we R actually invoking the energy or power within ourselves. When we pray to Saraswati we R invoking intellect that exists within everyone. Laxmi- for prosperity, Hanuman ji for devotion & fearlessness & so on ...God is believed to exist within everyone .All abstract qualities appear to have been personified for easy understanding by all. As such I dont C why multiple Gods shud B objectionable.

Well said!👏
All the different forms of God described in Hinduism are really in essence one spirit, the Brahman. Even in Hinduism, it says that God has no form and no gender. All the different forms of Gods were incarnated/formed for humans to reach a better understanding of spirituality through all these different divisions of God. For us humans, it makes us feel better to pray to Lord Hanuman when we feel fearful, or Goddess Lakshmi when we want wealth or prosperity...because we feel more connected to God, better understood this way, but in reality, all the forms of Gods and Goddessess are one spirit.

Do you believe that's true?
People have different perceptions of other religions, some positive, some negative...as long as those people do not harms others for their religion, it really shouldn't matter what they think as long as they leave you alone and you leave them alone.

The Vedas are said to have originated in the earliest part of Satya Yuga (beginning of the world), but I don't remember the exact timing (given in the Shrimad Bhagavatham) off the top of my head. Since I don't have the scriptures in front of me, here is what wikipedia says.

The Vedas are among the oldest sacred texts. The Samhitas date to roughly 1500–1000 BCE, and the "circum-Vedic" texts, as well as the redaction of the Samhitas, date to c. 1000-500 BCE, resulting in a Vedic period, spanning the mid 2nd to mid 1st millennium BCE, spanning the Late Bronze Age and the Iron Age. Gavin Flood sums up mainstream estimates, according to which the Rigveda was compiled from as early as 1500 BCE over a period of several centuries. The Vedic period reaches its peak only after the composition of the mantra texts, with the establishment of the various shakhas all over Northern India which annotated the mantra samhitas with Brahmana discussions of their meaning, and reaches its end in the age of Buddha and Panini and the rise of the Mahajanapadas (archaeologically, Northern Black Polished Ware). Michael Witzel gives a time span of c. 1500 BCE to c. 500-400 BCE. Witzel makes special reference to the Near Eastern Mitanni material of the 14th c. BCE the only epigraphic record of Indo-Aryan contemporary to the Rigvedic period. He gives 150 BCE (Patajali) as a terminus ante quem for all Vedic Sanskrit literature, and 1200 BCE (the early Iron Age) as terminus post quem for the Atharvaveda. The general accepted historical chronology of the Vedas ranks the Rig Veda as the first, followed by the Yajur Veda, Sama Veda and finally the Atharva Veda.

I heard a Taran Adarsh Review today. Perhaps Kurban didnt do too well. He said it should loose atleas 35 crore INR. This is bad for the producer.

However, as I am yet to see the movie ... I dont know really how good it is.
