Aamir Khan's actor nephew Imran, who proposed to his longtime girlfriend Avantika Malik a couple of months back, has pushed back the date of their engagement.

DNA has learnt that Imran wants to get hitched only after completing his pending work commitments. Since he is currently shooting for Karan Johar's I Hate Love Stories (which has Sonam Kapoor opposite him), he managed to convince his family and Avantika that it would be better to delay the engagement and marriage.

"Both Imran and Avantika's families are fine with his decision. It will now happen sometime in January when he wraps up shooting for the film. Even Avantika wants Imran to be mentally at peace when the engagement and marriage happen. The families know that when Imran gets into the skin of a character, he becomes a different person. He is quite like Aamir in his approach," says a source, adding, "the engagement ceremony is set to happen in Delhi at Arjun Rampal's lounge Lap."

He is too young to get married why is in he such a hurry.. people these dayz run away from the "idea" of getting married and here he is in such a hurry.. He should take a hint from Sals, Clooney and other hot bachelors.. Bachelors for life.. :)

The engagement was always planned for January!

But why would you wait if you already have found someone to get married to and there are no problems? Most people wait because they want to establish themselves first or can't decide on who to marry.

I don't really think the age is a factor besides Imran is 26 and will be turning 27 in a little over a month, many people in India; even men do get married by that age. I believe you have to be stable and mentaly prepared for marriage and Imran is both. He loves his girlfriend and has been in a relationship with her for quite some time so why wait?

Besides actors such as Hrithik Roshan and Shahrukh Khan were both married at 26 so in that factor Imran is lagging behind😆 even his uncle Aamir was married before he even entered the movies😃
