India may have changed, but Indians in America have not changed.

Woooooohhh, ok!!!!!!! 😆

I see, I thought Anju was talking about India. So she was talking of America hun? Wow, now this is something I would truly not have expected! Though yeah, on second thoughts, the conservative families having shifted over there may be so.

Woh yahan hum kehte rehte hai naa ki: "Yahan ki larkiyaan toh India ki larkiyaan seh bhi zyada ghar ka kham khaj jaanti hai!" 🤣 I see my aunts don't keep on saying that just for the sake of saying it... 😉

The problem I find with a lot of desis here is that they still live in the era of when they left their homeland. If they left India in the sixties they still have a vision of India in the sixties.

Similarly, I had less of a culture shock coming to the midwest and a bigger culture shock when I visited back home. India changed way too rapidly for me to keep up.

A particular "way of thinking" has been dominant in human societies since antiquity. ... every person have their own freedom to choose his/her way of life..we can adopt different path or culture....some people do modern dressing but they still believe the old custom, some people do old way of living, bt sometime they can think different ways........freedom is most importent things in life..freedom of mind, freedom to live, freedom to dressing, freedom to love, freedom is everything....but sometime I too feel wanna be dependand or controlled, so fly to home..that time my granny saw my porcupine type spiky hairstayle then she start scolding...what happed you hair...pahale aise nahe dha na n blah blah....!! its fun then we automaticly change our mood slowly we back to our culture...

Totally, when I went to India last holidays, I couldn't actually believe I was in India. Sure some of the "inside" parts are still very much the same, nothing new at all in terms of technology, but if you go to any of the cities, I've seen malls as big as some of the villages out there I think! Seriously...

I also think that is one of the major problems of India actually, as some of the most wise politicians of the country have stated it. Two places in that same country may not even be living in the same era, forget time... And that is the most negative factor for the country's growth. Try as they much, the rural part is not keeping up with the urban one.
