He happily admits, "It's an honour to be a part of the Men's Fashion Week especially when Mr Sunil Sethi (president of event organiser Fashion Design Council of India) told me that it would be incomplete without me. I loved walking the ramp. I have earlier walked the ramp but it was the first time that I walked for more than one designer."

As for the first Men's Fashion Week, he elaborates, "It was exciting, a format that India has never seen before. Earlier countries like New York, Paris and England only held exclusive Men's Fashion Week. India has come on the global fashion stage with men's fashion. As a budding model, it's an opportunity one used to look forward to."

Muzamil adds, "Men's fashion in India has come of age where designers are innovating, but menswear market in India will see a change now. Indian men are ready to experiment today and the men's fashion week has given them a great opportunity. In terms of style and grooming, men have evolved a lot. India has finally started catering to men's fashion."

However, he points out that plethora of celebrities walk the ramp to ensure publicity. "Celebrities as showstoppers has become a general trend. It gets more of a star-studded show. We, in our budding days, used to find it funny to watch celebs walking for media attention. I don't believe in celebs as showstoppers. However, Bollywood is infested with models, if they walk the ramp it makes sense. It adds to the show. I don't like to see so many celebs on the ramp. Whoever does so, must have that charisma and understand fashion. Fashion icons should be preferred. Like, I admire Arjun Rampal and Milind Soman. From Bollywood, Hrithik can really be great because he has that required style and charisma. With celebs that have been models, it gets real. Haggard celebrities should not be there."

When it comes to his own fashion statement, he says, "I don't like run-of-the-mill stuff. I dress in my own style. My style keeps changing. It's an amalgamation of Indian and Eurpoean at times. I like creating my own style. I take inspiration from fashion around me, but don't follow trends."

There is a buzz about that he is working on an untitled film... "Yes, it's tentatively titled 'Will You Marry Me?' It's a romantic comedy and am working along with actors Shreyas Talpade and Rajeev Khandelwal. "
