If DDLJ was to be remade who would you cast and why?

I know alot of people will say that it should never be remade, no can replace SRK and Kajol etc but this is just a what if - or alternatively if DDLJ was set in the naughty's instead of the 90's who would you cast and in what way would the change of time affect the story?

I can understand that but if it had not been made at that time, and was made now set in todays time - who would play the roles and how would the story be different?

DDLJ (if made now) wouldn't work. We would call it a ghisa phita storyline.

We call it a classic now because it was something new and different at THAT time. If made today, changes would have to be made to the story to suit the contemporary audience.

I agree it cannot be replaced by other ppl playing those characters Kajol and srk did a brilliant job, neither can storyline, its a great classic. Instead of changing the script and characters, i would like to see a sequal too it though with srk and kajol, what happend too raj and simran after they got on the train

i dont think its can be made again.. coz srk kajol was just perfect in thoose roles..

it u ever try to make it again its donna be a disater..

movies liek that cant be remade not even hum aapoke hain koun.. and some otehr blockbusters

That's the thing even if no matter how much we might want to answer this question we cannot since I myself cannot name anyone who could fit into Srk and Kajol's shoes for those particular roles 😕

I can see srk and kareena (i dunno why but i can see that)

Also I can see Ranbir as srk but no girl that would be good for the role except kareena (but they are cousins so that is out of the question)
