Most people are right. It's hard to replace the original and probably no one else can do it better than the original couple. But the closest pair that comes to my mind are Shahid and Amrita. Unlike most couples today, they have the sweetness and innocence that we used to see back in the day.

DDLJ cannot ever be remade....especially not with the same charm and magic..

but the only couple i can see even coming close to creating that wonderful chemistry are Arjun Bijlani and Rati Pandey....

Maybe i'm biased and this would never be possible but they remind me of SRK-Kajol a lot.....so i'd love it of they were cast.

EDITED : though there are almost 0 chances of them being cast...as they're from the television industry....so i guess i agree with ihcj21 as well...Shahid and Amrita too might be able to make it work as well....they have that innocence in them...😊

i completely agree wid nidhi...............i'm a hardcore ardent SRK fan n SRK-Kajol couple fan......4me they r ultimate heavenly couple....n none cuc evr evr replace them..........n 100% i can also say ki DDLJ wilb DDLJ oni if it has SRK-Kajol.....actually i wanted to remake on themselves.....or mayb a sequel to DDLJ...😳😳😳

I agree with you....It can't be made again...because Srk and Kajol were just perfect for the roles of Raj and Simran...and nobody could do that like they did

And I think that is by many movies...like Hum aapke hai kaun, Maine pyaar kiya and many more...

I don't think DDLJ should be remade...its a classic...n it'll b very difficult 2 recreate the magic. But, i have seen quite a few references of DDLJ in mjht and so i personally feel tht Arjun Bijlani and Rati Pandey would do a very cute job if cast as leads in the re-make. 😳

u cant remake movies like ddlj, sadak, raja hindustani, hum apke hai kaun, baazigar, hum saath saath hai, sajaan etc.... Because they are all great classic's, u cant imagine other ppl playing those characters and change the script of the movie because it wont live up to the expectation and it will ruin the movie.
It ashame that they hardly make anymore good movies like that anymore

yeah .. now its always a rip off hollywood movies.. or maybe movies from other countries..

honestly i never understood the hype around DDLJ. all i remember from that movie was amresh puri being a jerk...that guy used to give me nightmares and i would like to believe that is the only reason i still have a memory of the movie.
