Shukracharya

The story of Vaamana avtar of Lord Vishnu has an interesting character- Shukracharya. The Asura King Bali was ready with his annual donations to all brahmins and in comes this tiny dwarf (vaaman, none other than kapat Vishnu). His chief priest looks at Vaman and knows it to be the Lord himself. He warns Bali to not grant his wish. But Bali, drunk with his own "generosity of spirit" sets aside his kulguru's advice and proceeds to approve the request of Vaamana with a few drops of water from a kamandal (water pot with spout). Shukracharya, hurriedly takes a form of an insect and blocks the passage of the kamandal, preventing water from flowing through. The tiny vaamana sees the bright eye of the bug and taking a darba grass pokes into the spout and blinds shukracharya.

For a true devotee of kanha, how long does it take to "block" the nozzle of a mehndi cone?! Doing mehndi with cones for so many years, it is so common to find debris that prevents the smooth flow of the paste. So, am sure Mrinalini would be unsuccessful in applying mehndi on Vishaka's palm, come Monday.

yes, kools- truly coincidental! I started watching Cb because of the Krishna element. That has gone totally missing these past few months. Indian marriages are performed with the hope that the couple lead a spiritual life supporting each other in the knowledge that the material world is "mithya"- unreal and needs to be transcended, while honoring it (material).

Of course, the "love" track between radev is pure and holy, but the "allusion" is missing. Of course, I do not have a "right" to comment as I am basing all my arguments on the written updates rather than the show itself.

Thank rushtrip........I just saw it...........Wow, dadi slapping Vishaka!!! I think her eyes, which has the years of wisdom and experience, knows the real intention of Mrin, and may be even Vishaka............somehow, i feel there is something much more than what meets the eye.............(About Vish)..........

But I wonder what happened, or what triggered that extreme reaction (slapping)..........Dadi is very composed and very refined woman.........She dislikes vishaka, but also knows how to treat the guest..........So, i am sure, something might have happened.........or may be seeing Mrin trying to apply Radha Rani mehendi to Vishaka angered Dadi and hence the reaction..........She has not seen the reclutance of Vishaka, so may be assumes, even she tried to apply that mehendi...............

But Amma saying that one day, you will come with folded hands to take Vishaka, is distrubing thought..............

yeah- that was quite a whack! wow! poor vishaka. I just hope dadi understands that mrini is the "witch" and vish came there because of rads.
