hey im not sure if this topic has been created before so i posted it

do u think BV is giving the correct message or the wrong message on a sensitive issue like child marriage?

There are two ways of looking at things, the positive n the negative and personally i think they are giving the right message but its being seen wrongly for example lots of ppl say that Anandi has a big sasural and is shown to be happy usually but there is a different way of looking at it like she doesnt get to stay with her parents, she is missing out on what would be a normal childhood and she tied down in a relationship she probably doesnt fully understand and thats the bad side, what the show is trying to bring awareness to, rite?

Firstly this show is one of the few good ones.. but u got to look at the target audience.. educated ppl who can think of different aspects and all don't get influenced easily.. they know Anandi is losing out on her childhood but these are not the ppl who are going to get their children married at a young age anyways. Now the 2nd category who gets swayed by TV characters can only see how Anandi is rich as compared to her parents.. she gets thousands of rupees just for cooking something good.. there are still lots of people in India who value money over education.. lots of people who would rather have their daughters married to rich guys than having a career.. and i think this show gives a terrible message to this class of society.

Yes. instead of the torture they must show that dadisa is sending her to school to pursue her studies..

well sometimes it turns out to be different than what they want to show it.
i think that Anandi is trying to adjust to her sasuraal and when she did, she had to leave it and felt really bad though she was sort of happy to go back to her parents..
but the drawbacks are that she did'nt get to enjoy her childhood and misses her parents...she also did'nt get prpr education..

i think the problem is the show ends up re-inforcing dadisa's outdated beliefs. for example abt suguna...bhairon and sumitra wanted to ensure that their daughetr doesnt become a young mother hence kept postponing her gauna...but she created so many problems and dadisa was proved right. same goes with widows being apshagun...suguna started preparing for her gauna by a widow's feet(ie dadisa) and then a widow came to her gauna celebrations and her husband died under tragic circumstances.
in comparision anandi who had an early gauna is more or less happy with loving in-laws. dadisa is an exception and her father in law sorts out all her problems anyways. so how do less educated/uneducated masses really feel that child marriage is a bad thing? child marriage actually seems to be a good thing.
