Hey
So I follow the show (quite religously) and come onto the forum fairly often but don't post ( I think i have posted once here!)There is too much drama on the forum, especially over people you may never meet or know! But nonetheless I understand the enjoyment one gets making it personal affairs. I too have been guilty of it quite often!!Moving on to the basic premise for the topic, I fail to understand that if the show is really about finding your future mate why should you begin the search again once your chosen one is eliminated? I take this show to be on two levels.1. You come and find your partner, see if your relationship works outside and if it does get married.2. You come and treat it like a game show, try your best to win and enjoy the booty. Both approaches are fair to me because each to theri own. However I see a lot of contestants confusing the two. I am going to reteriate my point using a few examples. Please don't take it personally.A. Rumpa. She liked Gaurav, expressed her love on national television. He never really turned her down. Now she has made it clear she came to get a partner on the show. I understand her staying on the show, but what I dont get is that if you have found your someone why begin the search again? I haven't heard her say, even once that she will wait to meet Gaurav outside, since the week he got eliminated.B. Vivek. This guy seems genuine. He came for marriage, like Nandita and tried to get to know her. He never said he loves her but made it aptly clear that after her there is none on the show he wants to get to know. I hope he stays true to his word and doesn't fall for anyone for the sake of the game.C. Yash. This guy is here to win. He is going the way most suited for him and is even being lucky enough to get support from the judges. He is not looking at marriage but at winning and in the bargain if he finds someone its good!D. Pooja. She according to me is the most sensible of the lot. She is ready for marriage but her aim is to be the Perfect Bride. She realises Hitesh's weakness for her and she plays along while keeping her dignity intact. She hasn;t made any promises and says she wont either keeping it an open playing field. Honestly I like approach the best as she is playing well on both grounds.Coming back, I don't get why people need to look beyond once the person they have chosen for themselves is eliminated. Play the game, but you don't need to find love again. You have to understand the person is jst out of the house not dead for the world. It;s like saying if my partner goes for a business trip for a long duration, he and/or me should find someone else for the interim.A little silly for me!Wow, rambled quite a bit. Here are my two cents. Keep the topic clean please.Shruti
