I noticed with many Moms and Grooms. They mention that Nandita is a doctor so they want her. I don't like this at all. Does this mean if Nandita wasn't a doctor, they will look for other girls? Don't they like Nandita as person? What if Nandita says after marriage i don't want to be a house wife, then what?
I think Nandita should ask this question to Yash, Vivek and their moms.

I think doctors make good money that is the only attraction. All the girls on the show are very educated. Pooja is masters in English, Pri is MBA..
Actually Doctors, Engineers, Accountants etc is more of training then conventional education. Doctors know very little about history, law, geography, literatiure or social sciences..all their education is in human body..they cannot be called literate in broad sense but trained to do a certain profession.

Umm...just coz u dislike one contestant on a reality show, you don't have to demean the entire medical proffession....it is a very noble proffession, and a very vital one for the survival of the human race....in india or even in US, it is the field which is the most competetive, and extremely difficult to even get admitted to...so kindly keep your remarks limited to the contestant, what you have stated about dr's is merely your opinion, there is no factual basis to it....

Do the moms realize that if Nandita continues to work - which she most definitely will on the basis of everything that she has said, life will never be the same. I am married to a doc and the first few years was not easy for us. He still gets called in at odd hours for emegencies. Depending on what branch of Med - Nandita chooses, the commitment and support that she will need from her hubby will be a lot!!! Hope these sasu ma's are ready for that aspect!!

surprised with such demeaning thought of April 2007..... i hope you never have to see a doctor in your life. but if you ever do, u will understd how noble this profession is...... you toil 24 hrs/day recklessly with patients to achieve a small sense of satisfaction from you patient. It takes forever to imagine yourself in doc's shoes, to be there working hard at the hospital at the expense of your own leisure and family's life. Probably april2007 is right that they may not be jack of all bcoz they are Master of their profession and its becoz of them we are enjoying a good quality of life.
Its demeaning to see a lowly thought about such a great and noble profession.

I think when anyone commits to a proffession like medicine and completes it, it shows a combination of things. That you care about people, that you can take on responsibility, and you have been commited to your education. Asa doctor you do make money but the amount of commitment you need have to complete that type of course is far greater than others.
I am doing my MBA right now, the commitment is small 2 years, and everyone is there to make money. I am not demeaning my degree or anyone else who does a masters. I do believe medicine is a more rigourous course.

The one girl doesn't have anything to do with medical profession. I don't hate any profession I am just telling you what is a professional person and what is a literate person. Being professional means being trained in something..literate means to know the literature, history and social science and world at large. You are the one who keeps saying she is very educated...i am merely telling you diff between an education and training in one field.

I have met many doctors who are totally ignorant about rest of the world about history, geography, social science, anthropology the list goes on..the word education is used to have knowledge of life not just a profession.

I am a med student and I would like to hope I am literate. I don't have to take just medical /science courses that are related to my field but also do good on other courses such as literature, history and etc. I don't think you hate any profession but do give credit where it's deserved. 😊 It's hard, the road to being a doctor itself is tough. After you become one it doesn't get any easier.

Even before anyone got to know any of the girls nandita got attention right away. I doubt they were seeing money signs looking at her. The title of a doctor says a lot of things. She is someone intellectual, goal oriented, hardworking, responsible, compassionate and much more.
