I thought I start a musical confession box where one can confess some of the musical related things here. So if you have any confessions to make (Music related) - pls do share it here.
Okay here is my confession...
When I was in my early teens, I loved Disco numbers ONLY. I used to hate listening to classical music....If the musical reality shows were held back than , I think I would have never have appreciated singers that I Appreciate today.
I recall never liking Kishore Da songs when i was a kid, today he is my THE MOST Favourite.

never like slow songs...whenever a slow-y song came on in the car, i'd yell "turn this bhajan off" [not insulting bhajan's]
now, depending on singers, movie, how good other singers have sung it, i some 😃

Oh lo behold, musical confessions. Hmm what do I fess up to

- I'm one of the 'Disco is not Dead' people. I'm a sucker for the disco era classics like Saturday night fever. I rock out to Abba on my I-pod. I went to watch Mama Mia live at the overture and grooved with oldies twice or thrice my age. I still remember Boney-M and while people were Gaga over the Lady, I called the Ma Baker sampling in Poker Face.

- I believe that techno will save you. I love listening to loud obnoxious music with the same loop of music repeated over and over again, with absolutely no lyrical value other than some inappropriate human sounds interspersed intermittently. Its how I keep my groove and keep flowing.

- I can sing in Russian even though I have no clue about the language, simply because I have heard the same few songs over and over and over and over and over again.

- Christian Goth like E-Nomine is my guilty pleasure.

- I spent half my life wondering why 'Sadness' was a challenged song only to discover its 'Sadeness'

- My favorite Hindi movie soundtracks as a child were 'Hero' and 'Yudh'. In fact the only way to wake me up was to play 'Tu Mera Hero hain' or 'I am in Love'

- I can listen to the Veer Zaara soundtrack ceaselessly with no boredom.

i do not really care if kishore , asha or lata or the singers in the 90's and today didn't sing, rafi is enough in my opinion and im surprised the other singers even have fans!
