Five actors were offered Salman film

The Prem Soni film Main Aur Mrs. Khanna (and not Mr. And Mrs. Khanna as previously reported) was offered to five different actors before Salman Khan accepted it.

Prem had approached Shahid Kapur, Sanjay Dutt, Vivek Oberoi, Fardeen Khan, and Akshaye Khanna, but all of them turned it down. Finally, he approached Sohail Khan who offered to produce the film and get his brother Salman Khan to take the lead role.

Not only the actors, but the actresses offered the film and subsequently turning down, have been Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta, Ayesha Thakia, Lara Dutta and Deepika Padukone. Finally, Kareena Kapoor committed herself to play Mrs. Khanna.

The film's title has also seen a few changes. Initially, it was going to be titled Do Pal Ka Karvaan, then Mr. And Mrs. Khanna, and now it will be called Main Aur Mrs. Khanna.

Umm...no this doesnt sound right.

First of all, Prem didnt take it to Sohail first. He took it to Salman, who in turn took it to Sohail and asked him to produce it.

Prem met Salman because he was friends with Priyanka and met salman during the shooting of God Tussi Graet Ho.

But yes, they did go through a lot of actresses before zeroing on Kareena. But they said they just talked to them all to get a feel for who they wanted, and after JWM, they felt Kareena was the one who woudl be able to carry off the title role the best.

Don't know about actors, but I have read that Priyanka and Deepika were offered the film.

I read that as well, but Prem said they never offered it to any of those actresses. He said he went and TALKED with them, just as he talked wiht Preity and a bunch of others. But they werent satisfied iwth someoen who woudl be able to carry the title role by herself and then JWM happened and they went out to kareena, had a talk with her, and instantly zeroed in on her.

PC ,there were rumours as she was friends with the director.PC inroduced Salman to Prem Soni.But she too was never confirmed.

Deepika was never offered the movie.Way back in late 2007/early 08 there was 1 article that a lot of big names will make a guest appearance in the film n Deepika's name was also on the list.But the story was denied by Sohail right then.
