'No one will marry our raped girl'

When did you hear of Shiney Ahuja's release?
Father: On Thursday evening. My brother who stays in Mumbai called me.
And?
I was shocked. Her mother is hysterical and can't stop crying. We want him to remain in jail and hopefully hanged one day. We are frightened that he is out, but my brother consoled me and said he had only been released on bail, not acquitted.
What are you frightened about?
Mother: We are worried that Shiney will harm our daughter and us. He is very rich and influential; we are not and can't fight him. Now that the rakshas is out, he will use all his influence to harm us and our daughter.
Traumatised: The parents, at Roha village, say the girl had been sent to Mumbai to earn her dowry.
Aren't you planning to get her married?
Who will marry her now? There were a few proposals before the incident, but now her life has been ruined. She is tainted.
WORRIED: The parents of the rape victim said that in the days after the alleged incident, she was depressed and hardly spoke to anyone.
Will she go back to work in Mumbai?
I regret she ever went to Mumbai to work. This wasn't the first time. Earlier, too, she worked in Mumbai, but without any problems. Then, she went and got the job at the actor's place. She was hardly there for a month and a half when this happened.
Financially, how are you doing?
I have three daughters and a son. She had gone there to work to help her family and earn her dowry. I am a farmer, how much can I earn? I can barely feed my family. My daughter was
like my son, but after the rape, I have realised she is a daughter.
What do you want from the court?
That Shiney Ahuja is hanged to death. No other punishment is enough for the man.
What happened that night?
A day before the incident, Shiney touched my daughter's leg, and was surprised when she stopped him saying, 'Bhaiya, what are you doing! The next day, Shiney forced her into the bedroom and raped her. My daughter kept shouting for help and begged him to leave her, but the rakshas raped her. As soon as she left Shiney's flat, she met Rekha maushi [who had helped her get the job] and broke down. You know what happened after that.

She was depressed, hardly spoke to anyone, but now she's coming to. But, she rarely leaves home. She keeps saying, 'I used to call him bhai, how could he do this to me?' She starts crying at the mention of the incident. And the villagers keep talking about it too.
