Ok, so I just saw the Kurbaan trailer and noticed that "intense romantic scene" Kareena and Saif are all excited about, and umm it was...something. Anyways, how many of you feel that bollywood is overdoing it with such scenes these days which not to mention, even prevents families from watching movies together. I remember how I could sit down with my mom and watch a couple of bollywood films a while back, but not anymore. Lets be honest. none of us would feel comfortable watching that Kareena and Saif scene with our families, so do you guys feel it's okay for bollywood to move a step forward and illustrate such scenes to their audiences, with the notion "it's just a film!" or should they stay within limits considering the social values we people value. Well, us, common people, at least.

p.s. and if we're going to bring up hollywood anywhere too, then we all know how hollywood works, and there will always be a difference between bollywood films and hollywood films, and the audiences are rather different too, so I personally don't think such scenes and whatnot help bollywood become competitive. 😆

Hehe, I dont mind it, as long as it goes with teh story. ANd yaar, saif and kareena arent excited about it. Just watch their interviews, whenever kareena was questioned about htat scene, she always downplayed it and said, its just a scene, nothing special about it, and it was required for the script. Rensil talked to us about it. Its not saif and kareena who went about announcing it.
It was Dharma who are banking on it as well.
I know i'm not watching this wiht my parents, lol
And i'm ok with that, hehe

Don't watch it with someone you'd feel uncomfortable around. Simple. 😊

Its not new, especially not for siaf. Remember Salaam Namaste? That was also a very intense scene. But i dont know, as long as it doesnt look vulgur or awkard.
I mean Rajesh Khanna in waffaa...that should NEVER HAVE HAPPENED. That will leave ppl will eyes that burn and tears of pain.
But if its aesthetically shot, then no prob.
And yeah, just avoid watching with ppl you'll be uncomfortable with. kurbaan's a bold movie with a strong controvertial subject to begin with. Its not a movie for kids.

Undoubtedly we all do know that, and that's because we can't, if we COULD, no one would mind seeing a film with the rest of their family, no? but that's not the point I was trying to make. With the example I gave, that scene between Saif and kareena isn't clicking in my mind, and I thought kareena was just backless, but seems otherwise now.. Don't understand why bollywood goes to such extremes with their romantic scenes at times? Considering it's bollywood, such scenes don't register in my mind. Bw films are supposed to be different than hollywood or whatever else films, if we're going to have actresses and actors posing nearly nude in such scenes that I feel something is wrong. And what's funny is most people would actually go to watch the film just for that one romantic scene.

I'm saying this now. 😆 I'm going to be ticked off if Kurbaan's hype of being such an "intense, romantic movie" was solely because of this one scene (of course, after I see the film). Already angry at the fact that Vivek got one second of glory in a nearly 3 minute long trailer.

Haha dont worry, VO will get more coverage as more promos start rolling around. And Kurbaan is intense as a movie. Saif had already said its really controvertial, also because of its theme and how it tackles the issue and tries to explore the mind of a jihaadi.
And on top oft hat, the love story is also supposed to be intense.
See it also has to make sense. Saif and Kareena are playing husband and wife. Like in omkara, I didnt mind the intense lovemaking scenes at all, because they were necesarry to depict omi and dolly's relationship as well as langda and konkona's.
Now i mean if the scene is just tossed in for no reason, that's a turn off.
I'm sure that a married couple's intimacy plays a role in showing how their relationship changes due to those events.

Well for one thing, they don't have to "show" the scenes .. I mean we can infer by blacking out the lights or whatever, you know? Showing them making love isn't necessary to tell they are. Lol I don't know if that made sence.

True, but I guess Rensil wanted to dwelve deeper, lol.
Perhaps he'll show how their intimacy is affected later then? I guess we'll find out eh 😊
