This is going to sound bad so forgive me guys đ . I hope Dev doesn't forgive her easily because he loves her so much. He has done a LOT for her. He went through a lot for her too. Love has a lot to do with trust. Dev trusts her but how can he continue to trust her knowing she remained quiet through all the time he was suffering, and the sole reason for his suffering was her. Ok fine, when Vishaka was around she tried getting them married and hoped Vishaka would be a good wife, but after she was gone again Dev still went through a lot. Granted Radhika is a great daughter and good sister (if pushing her to be with a man who is not her husband counts) but she is a horrible horrible lover. (the word I am looking for is premika) Probably falls under the worst category till date. At times she speaks of her Patni dharm. Does she love Dev even half as much as he loves her?
i know that there have been other threads done analyzing Rads character. I remember being very troubled by how badly she was treated after her marriage by her own mom and amma. I think as Dev starts to see how badly Amma treats her, he will understand what she must have gone through. In some of the later episodes when she was pushing him towards Vish, I found it very painful to watch ... but I think their relationship has entered a new phase (at least from her perspective).
I think that she has always loved him a lot ... but truly believed that he would be better off without her. His notion of loving her was to be with her physically, mentally and spiritually (the way we all believe it should be). Her notion of loving him was just knowing that he existed and loved her and she loved him. She did not want or need anything else from him
It is sad that she had such low self esteem and no one else to give her hope (her mom abandoning her was the worst) As she is becoming more confident in herself as a woman, she also recognizes what she can give back in the relationship ... i am hoping they continue to grow her character.
