thank you for understanding cinnamonrani. I wouldn't want to degrade a woman just because she chooses to whatever she wants. it's her life if she chooses to be fat or wear skimpy clothes.Originally posted by: cinnamonrani
Theatre does have a point here. I am going to make it here. The thing is that we can post pictures of her that show her in a degrading light. She chooses to go out and do that. In a similar way I may not like Paris Hilton. I may hate everything she stands for, her vapidness or her horrible contributions to pop culture or heck even her fashion statements. But just because I don't like here, am I going to call her a slut or a whore or a tranny? No, because that is not acceptable discourse. That would be trying to shame her. I can critique her without going that far. Do you get what I am saying here? The reason I brought up that example is because it is easy to sling mud on people, who are considered of loose moral character or whatever, particularly if they are women. This sense of piling on someone, who is reviled by many, is not the best way to go about it. If you don't like her, move on. There is a difference to the way people treat John or Ranbir disrobing into nearly nothing and this. Her body is not in the best shape, but I think that some of the comments cross the line and go into the cruel catergory.
Disclaimer: I don't want any flame war or anything with anyone. Personally, I try not to say anything when someone goes and calls an actress an aunty on this forum or something. It is impossible to change things, but I get where Theatre is coming from on this.
case ends here. she just equaled it ... 😃 Katrina's dress in Zara Zara Touch Me... because she has a good body... and no body found that vulgar? 😕Originally posted by: simplyfilmi
they are just bad shots... i dont think they are vulgar poses... because while u are dancing u can be snapped wrong... its not like she was posing and dancing...

Similar clothing has been worn by alot of A list actress for such dance numbers... only difference is that they come from a slighter educated background thus no one raises a finger on them...
that is what I was trying to say.. just beacause I said rakhi wasn't vulgar doesn't mean I am a die-hard fan of her.Originally posted by: cinnamonrani
Haha, I am not a die-hard fan. You wish. Just because someone has an issue with the language you use in a post does not make them a fan of a person. That is a very simplistic way to look at a topic. You feel free to call her all the names in the book. But I will call it "slut shaming" (a common term used in the West at least), which is known as attacking and humiliating any woman who is found to be lacking in some aspect of culturally dictated sexual purity. We'll agree to disagree on this. You think you're right and I think I'm right. And this is my last response on the topic.
you stay on the topic by going back and reading it...Originally posted by: ~prettyinpink~
WTF??? Learn to stay on topic. That comment was so irrelevant. Now that you've brought it up, Indians ain't so fit themselves, with their makkhe di roti and sarson ka saag! Pot calling the kettle black huh?
