I believe most of us are members of entertainment forums as well. And we've all come across the debate between criticism and bashing. Why is constructive criticism considered bashing? Why are we averse to criticism in general? All of us cannot agree on each and every thing. Differences in opinion do occur. Then why the 'Either you're with us or against us'.

Your views please.

The problem is many many folks when joining FF they don't know the proper definition of bashing and later on when they get a pinch of idea about what is bashing, they decide that anybody who goes against their thoughts and POV's are bashing, there is no space for constructive criticism or no even proper freedom to post our thoughts, the minute u post and someone doesn't like it, they leetle report button is clicked several times😳

I'm from a creative field, and our first lecture started with 'Leave your ego at the door. If you want your ego stoked every now and then, choose a different field'. Yes, no one likes being criticised. But why can't we take constructive criticism.

Agree with you. Many don't understand the term bashing. This is a discussion forum. Discussing both the good and the bad. Then why is anything negative considered bashing??

Every time a topic is going off track by negativity its closed because mods want peace, the folks who don't understand constructive criticism think they won the battle🥱

Constructive criticism isn't equivalent to bashing, and I think IF have no problem with criticism as long as it can be kept constructive and decent. Problem occurs with few members, who cannot hold a debate without getting emotional, and, instead of using valid arguments, uses fowl and derogatory languages to support their [non]argument. There is where the problem occurs. Criticism involves constructively and logically opposing something. Bashing involves using derogatory comments to further one's view point.

I second that....but the basic reason i see is that members only get emotional when they are attacked personally else it makes no DIFFERENCE to any at least i don't critism that seriously as a matter of fact if critism is taken in a constructive way it comes to you as a compliment, praise.
