But it's a song with a lot of metaphors to it as well....

The main line, 'chaandan mein main takuri, tera sona mukhda, pyara pyara mukhda' translates to, 'in the moonlight, I stare at your face, your beautiful face'

This is my fav. bit from the song:

Wow, Thanks a lot. I should have known. Kailash Kher is my favorite. But I couldn't recognize his voice :(

I also initially thought the song was made for the show since it fit Shyam-Sugna so perfectly....lol....but it turned out to be from Kailash Kher's album....all the songs from the album are beautiful and they keep on using most of them on SS.....cuz they just seem to suit them so amazingly :-)
