Anyone missing the old SaJan?

Is it just me or have SG become too platonic over the last few months? I liked their earlier phase better, where Samrat would tease Gunjan or casually flirt with her and she'd stand there looking flustered, not knowing how to react to his verbal advances. I'm not talking about the time when SG weren't friends. I'm talking about the talent parade / exam track, where in spite of being friends they had a certain amount of non-platonic chemistry between them. Now they come across as siblings more than potential lovers. I think the creatives shouldn't have changed their rapport so drastically that it would become nearly impossible to envision them as a romantic pair.

The fact that they are 'just friends' has been drilled into the viewers' heads too vigorously. Because of that, I feel that Mohit and Sanaya have been downplaying their chemistry even though Gunjan has been in love with Samrat since holi. They've reached the point where, personally speaking, you wonder how their relationship differs from that of a brother-sister duo. The realization scenes of Gunjan's feelings were much better because up until that point you could see them as a couple. Now, not so much.

I wish the old SG were back. While I don't miss Samrat's constant references to himself in third person or his overconfidence, I do miss his not-so-brotherly relationship with Gunjan. Does anyone else feel the same way? Even if you don't, feel free to post your opposing views. :-)

now a days i dont feel that i'm watching sajan wen i'm watching
old sajan created magic for me.. made me fall for them but the presently nothing such is happily
i prefer a flirty samrat than how he is now

Yeah something seems to be off....don't feel the same chemistry b/w them as before! It is perhaps because samrat's fun and cheerful and flirty nature has gone for a toss to make way for a serious Samrat...

For my point of view, I never saw Sajan having a brotherly/sisterly relationship, I always knew it was love and I'm holding onto that notion until now 😉

@ mohit.great - Exactly! Sirf pyaar hi sab kuch nahi hota. They've made Samrat turn into a dull and confused fool who has started behaving totally out of character. The masti needs to return asap!

@ kavya.b - Yep, same here ... the old SG were what turned me into a fan of theirs. I hope after they get together, Samrat regains some of his orignal character traits.

@ Eloquent - I don't get why Samrat had to get so serious in the first place. They're just in college and what he has with Gunjan isn't a life altering experience. Theek hai, this is his first encounter with real love as opposed to infatuation but there's no need to change yourself in the process.

@ maybe-just - I dunno, I like this Gunjan better for some reason. If she starts to blush again that would be a little awkward because the show keeps mentioning how Samrat helped her become more outgoing, bold and confident. Actually, I wish Gunjan was slightly more confident right from the start. I wanted Samrat to harmlessly pick on her for being such a dork and I wanted her to retort back. This could've gone on for a good few weeks. Instead of going that way, the creatives decided to do all the Bhavesh nonsense and what not. *shakes head*

@ sehar mehrotra - I hope so too. The normalcy is desperately needed back in their track.
