Tuesday Episode No 567 1/9/09

Starts with Megs telling maniac - " I just HAVE to see your GF"
Maniac promises to show - "just one more week.." Megs is happy
and leaves his cabin. Samy asks "pray, what is the plan???
manthirathil maangai?? mangai??" (mangai?? ayyo Roja konnutte pO -
maangai (raw mango) ...mangai ( girl ) un Tamizh is getting better
and better - in spite of Ali Baba language ) Maniac says that he
can not hide his feelings any more -" Megs will know the truth,
can not play this hide and seek any more.."

Sara asks for money - Amutha says that she can not manage 3000 Rs.
" 50 , 100 nna ok....3000??? no way.." Loosu hears this , goes to her
moron hubby and asks for the money. Moron is surprised that even Sara
needs money. Loosu says that Sara is getting married and may need
to buy a new wardrobe. Finally Loosu hands over the money to Sara -
Sara has a quixotic look - "irony paarthiya Loosu??? intha wedding
ai nirutha age old plan kai vasam irukku... nee ye panam kudukkare.."
- look dialog by Roja.

Sezhi - Tilaga . Tilaga asks Sezhi about Balu and Co coming for
the function. Sezhi says that Balu was very tentative. Tilaga asks
about Meenakshi "avangalai anuppalaame??" Sezhi says that they
can only invite - "kaiyai pidichi izhuthukkitta vara mudiyum??"
Suddenly remebers Kavi's check up - scoots.

COD is going out - Sadasivam asks "where to??" ( veliye porache enge
pore nnu kekka koodathu !!! Eppo paarthalum ellarum life ai epdi
lead panna num nnu lesson edukkaringa... ithu ungalukku Roja
solli tharanumaa??) COD says that he is going to buy a chain for his
son. Dad asks COD to take mommy along. COD says that he mentioned about
buying a chain - " mommy just left the arena !!!" Goes on to say that he
would much rather postpone the function -" am not sure who will fight
for what and when !!! bayama irukku ppa ..oru nalla kaariyam nadakkara
edathile sandai thevaiyaa??" Talks about mommy and QBS being at
logger heads always . Now it is time for lecture on life and how to
deal with trouble makers. After that dad tells COD that he needs to be
more positive. " u need to face problems , not avoid them.." Sonny boy
leaves for gold shopping. Durga comes looking for sonny "chain vaanga
num nnu sonnan... na dress panni kittu varathukku lle pOittan !!" Dad says that
COD thought that she was angry ...Durga as usual shouts about QBS -
Poor Sadisavam knows that he has to deliver another lecture - fortunately,
Roja is spared of that ordeal.

Tilaga household - Lachu arrives - well, the money given by maniac for
releasing Viswa is " thrown at Megs' face " - tells Megs that she sold her
thaali to pay this back - " I will pay back every cent spent by you.. we have
nothing more to do with each other..." Tilaga talks about gratitude et al -
" I am happy that my Megs wont marry your son.." Lachu says that she
understands " ippo thaan panakkara mappillai kidaichache.." Words fly
from both ends..finally Lachu says that she has decided to severe the
connection -"so why should I fight??" - storms out... Megs cries ..
Unfortunately, her family does not lend support for a RKO - because of
the issue here ... so it is a crying session... all by herself...

Wednesday Episode No 568 2/9/09 Update By Eljay

Both Megala and Vishwa are being yelled at by their respective mothers and the dialogs are the same, so it looks like the two mothers discussed it in advance. Both of them yell at their offspring, one for taking the money from Megala, and one for helping Vishwa, one asks if her son is not eating uppu in his diet, and the other asks the same question. Finally, both mothers ask the respective offspring to do a sathiyam not to have anything to do with the other party, and both Megala and Vishwa shed some tears and then do the sathiyam. Later both M and V are shown thinking of the past, their childhood days, etc., with some sad background music.

A husband and wife ( tea shop owner Ganesan and his wife) are going down the street, discussing about Tyson, and the husband says that if Tyson goes to the kalyana mandapam, then there is a chance that he will be recognized by someone who knew him in the past, and then he could regain his memory. He cautions his wife against blabbering all this and tells her to keep it to herself.

Karuna's parents are returning from the temple in a car. Incidentally, I am wondering why the wife sits in the back, as if the husband is the chauffeur! On the other hand, he is speaking so rudely to her, asking her what she prayed for, and whether she prayed for Karuna and his dad to meet with some misfortune, when she says that she prayed for their son, Shankar, to rejoin the family. Dad is scornful, and right then Mom looks out and spies her son lying on the side of the road. She asks hubby to stop the car, runs out and tries to get sonny to get up and get into the car, but hubby stops her. In the meantime, son gets up and asks his "appan if he is still around" and says that their house is nothing short of a naragam while the appan is around. Father starts kicking son (Roja, I really can't stand this! I have no idea how you have done it so far.), while mother tries to separate them. Finally, father drags and forcibly pushes mother into the car (someone please take him into jail for physical abuse of his wife) and they go off.

Megala is shedding tears and her friend Anita is consoling her. She says she wants to meet Vishwa but she doesn't know where he is, and Anita says that she has his mobile number. Right then, Tilaga enters and scolds Megala for thinking of Vishwa and insists that Anbu will be the modhal mappilai for that house. Once she leaves, Anita tells M not to cry and she says she will somehow get her a chance to meet V.

Thursday Episode No 569 3/9/09

Lachu and dhadi -doing some serious grocery shopping
(list le poison bottle pOttingalaa??) - Megs is walking on the
road and goes near an auto. Asks for a ride and the auto driver
decides to ditch the previous customer - Lachu and dhadi.
( Madras le antha oru street thaan irukku - Lachu will shop
there...Megs will walk along ... enna Mr.V, budget cut aa)
Anyways Lachu digs - "athaane paarthen, naamba koopitta
auto ..avan kooda mayangittan !!" Megs says that she did not
know that Lachu had booked that auto. Runs behind athai
who sprays acid all along. Dhadi runs behind her but does
not forget to pacify Megs - gives her the address and says that
he will deal with Lachu.

This segment merits no updating - Balu's first son sneaks in
to his car, blackmails him that he will go and meet Kirtana..
Balu bribes him with a bottle of naattu sarakku... the fellow
sits in the car and finishes that...finally says that he will make
sure to meet Kirtana ..." vida maatten Balu..."

Janaki and her hubby come to meet Lachu and Co. Lachu
sings the life history of " Megs - Viswa - maniac" Janu says
that she respected "Megs - Viswa love saga" and went away
from Viswa. Goes on to say that she feels that Megs is a
nice person -" vera engiyO thappu nadanthu irukku.. I can
try and talk to Megs !!! " Lachu says that Megs is history. "If
u want to help us, please look for a nice girl for my Viswa.
And visit us often.." Janu agrees and leaves. Lachu cries..
Dhadi consoles...

Episode No 570 Friday 4/9/09

Starts with Sezhi , Sundaram and Kavi visiting Tilaga
household. Only paatti is around. She is happy to see
Sundaram coming with his daughter and SIL. Sundaram
talks about maniac and his connections - wants Sezhi
to start a new office. Sezhi gives an alternate suggestion
and Sundaram is overjoyed at his SIL's business acumen.
He goes out to attend a phone call and Kavi expresses her
happiness " adeyappa, I have never seen my dad so happy"
Sezhi says that the best is yet to come -"poga poga unga appa
vai epdi asatha porennu.." ( Sundaram maama kadichi kadichi
thupparathai kekka sagikkalai...habbaaa)

Lachu and Dhadi - Lachuis feeding dhadi. The house owner comes
with another person and shows the house. Lachu objects big time.
The owner is agitated - "vanthu 1 maasam kooda aagalai..athukku
munnadi romba periya manushanai unga pillai adichuttan..." Viswa's
friend Suresh comes and the house owner chides him for such
tenanats -" unakku therinjavanga nnu kuduthen..ippo paaru.."
Finally he says that he is in a financial fix -"veettai vikkanum..
why dont u buy it?? I have no objections.." After he leaves, Suresh
goads them -" Madras le nalla veedu is a blessing..neenga Trichur
ponaa, this house can be rented out.." Lachu agrees.

Sundaram calls Kavi and asks about the check up. Kavi says that all
is well but Sundaram starts his kadichu thuppal - says that the doctor
called him and told him the truth -" u better take care of your health..
no more roaming around.." Just then Kirtana calls and asks Kavi to
come for some shopping. Kavi agrees but Sundaram vetoes -" veet le
ye kida..no jalan jalan.."

Lachu, dhadi and Suresh go to a financier - "25 lakhs venum.." he asks
for security and dhadi gives the Tiruchur house documents. The financier
says that he is not familiar with Kerala -" if I have to get possession of this
property at a later date , I cant be running to Kerala !!!" Lachu is disappointed
to hear this but the financier has a solution -" maniac kitte thaane Megs velai
pakkara... she is related to u, right?? ask her to sign this document..then I
give u money..." Lachu is all set to burn the financier - if looks could burn
look...

Monday 7/9/09 Episode No. 571

vaichukko.." walks out. Visws's friend tries to pacify and Lachu
is categorical - " the document is ours..ithile enna Megala Megala??
Megala kku theriyatha financier iruntha sollu, ok?"

Maniac with his architect - discussion on the interior of his house
and the paint colors. Maniac is not satisfied with any color - ( yeyy
kirukku Roja, megs varanum, color idea kudukkanum....nee thirunthave
maattiyaa??? grrrr) Well, Megs walks in, says that her work for the day
is over and maniac wants her approval. And of course she chooses the
color which is perfect and the architect aalai vitta podhumnu Odidaraar.
Maniac tells Megs that he plans to declare his love to his dream girl
only in that house -" what do u think?? will she be happy? or she would think
that I am flaunting my wealth??" Megs says that he is doing all this out
of "unmaiyaana karisanam" - " she will surely accept your proposal..."
Maniac is happy. Wants Megs to go along for some shopping -"want to
buy a gift for COd /QBS ' baby.. I wont be able to attend that..and a gift for
Kirtana..ippove vaangi unga veet le kuduthuda laam nnu.." Megs agrees.

Danda household - Danda tells moron that he needs to freeze the kalyana
mandapam. Amutha says that she would much rather have a simple wedding for Sara
but Danda says "nothing doing....grand wedding only.." Goes in and asks his clan
about getting ready -" Loosu veetu function, kilambu Tams" Tams is skeptical.
Says that COD's family may not like them to be around -" we have had
a stormy relationship....sabai le insult pannitta??" Danda says that no such thing
will happen -" namba moron kooda nallavan aagittan..apram enna?" All agree
to grace the function.

COD's house - both COD and dad are happily getting ready. Pushpa and
Durga have a "muzha neelam face" Dad asks them to hurry. Pushpa
hands over some gifts to COD and says " Un pappa kku athai seer, ange
kuduthudu, ok??" Sadasivam asks "nee varalai??" Pushpa makes a
big fuss -" ennai thaan koopidaliye? nan epdi varathu? " COD says that
it was because of him Sezhi did a telephone invitation. Pushpa says
that COD can take liberties but QBS household needs to know some
mariyathai. Finally Sadasivam asks COD to accept the gifts - " nee manasu
kashta pattu ange vara vendam, naanga pOrOm.." All leave and Pushpa
has a look "ada da konjam over fuss adichuttOmO??? ange pOi akka
pOr panra chance ai miss pannittene.."

Danda household - all are ready to leave. Tams has a jwellery shop on
her body. Danda asks Angu to wear her gold. Angu says that she lost
interest " unga appa eppo paarthalum pootti pootti vaichuppar...
I never had access to my jewels..so.." Time for a lecture from Loosaanandhi -
"maama solrennu thappa nianikka vendam ... You love athai a lot but
never gave her the andasthu... the keys of the house should be with her..
she must feel that she is the lady of the house.. u never gave her that honor !!"
Danda's eyes open with this moving arul urai - immediately hands over
the keys to Angu. Angu in turn hands it over to Loosu -" she is the Maha
Lakshmi of this house... here take it.." Loosu protests but the rest of the
clan goad her to accept. Tams and Nandhu give a standing ovation for
this crowning. As they are about to leave, Pechi calls saying that he
caught hold of a kadan kaaran - ' udane vaa, panam karakkalaam"
Tams ditches the function, takes Nandhu as the chauffeur and leaves.
The rest go for the function.

Tilaga household - COD comes out..sees moron and family coming...
moron gives a pathetic, guilty look..COD looks

Moron and COD staring at each other - COD smiles and welcomes
his sagalai and his family. For once Tilaga household is happy.
General chit chat - "baby yaar mathiri??" "QBS..illlai illai COD"
Finally moron decides that the baby will grow up to be the replica
of Yen thambi Kalai Arasu - Tilaga kku semai thrill -"apdiya solringa???
avar mathiriyaa??" ( hmm yetho un nalla kaalam Durga innum varalai.
Avanga vanthu ithai moron vayile irunthu ketta....Dhinam dhinam
ingu deepavali... ungal thalai mele Durganjali - BG by Roja)
Sezhi goes out for some errand and moron tags along. Ellarum
romba happy (amma Durga amma seekiram vaanga.. unga grandson
kku function, ipdi late aa vara laama??)

Megs comes and every one chides her for the delay. Megs says that
she went shopping with maniac -" QBS pappa kku gift itho.. he is
busy , so wont make it.." QBS sees the gift and is happy " Anbu sir
vanthu kudukkanum..mm" Megs says that he is very busy. Paatti
observes -" Anbu thambi varanum nnu romba aasaipatten... COD
mappillai, moron mappillai ellam inge ...maniac mappillai varaliye??"
( paatti, athu yennavO unga mappillaigal ellame oru mathiri..
starting from yen thambi Kalai Arasu !!! athu yepdi??? "net spread
search" panni, filter panni correct aa azhugalaiyum sothaiyaium
porukki edutheenga??) hearing this Megs is upset. Quietly goes in.
This is watched by Loosu..decides that it is time for another lecture
follows akka...

Lecture time - loosu is still in Loosanandhi mode - gives a lecture

very keen about this wedding. But from the way you look... u do
not like this arrangement, eh?? Ok, here is the deal. I can not

Durga arriveeeessss - has a kadu kadu face - eppo da chance kidaikkum
oru moochu lage lage aarambikkalaam..- goes to see the baby..sees
Danda and Angu cootchi cooing to the baby - QBS is happily watching.
Durga moonji is like "thalichu kottara karandi " - konjam oil, mustard

vara koodathu, samy" Sadasivam knows that there is a storm brewing.
Does not need the weather forecast officer Ramanan to spell out -

All are asked to go to the terrace - for food. Moron and Megs are serving.
Durga decides that the time is ripe -" ivan kaiyaale sappidanumaa??
enakku vendam... neenga sappittu ttu vanthu serunga.." leaves the table..
moron sees that and asks innocently " enna ezhunthittinga?? sappidalai??"
Durga stares - " if looks could kill " look.... terrace becomes Sahara
desert..temperature riiisssiiinnggg...

Episode No 573 Wednesday 9 /9/09

Starts with Jhansi Rani cootchi cooing with Sara - Sara is very
elusive. Jhansi is upset that he does not reciprocate her enthusiasm -
"eppo pesinaalum interest illame ye irukkingaa??" Sara says that he
is going out on an important mission . Jhansi wishes him all the
best - amma di, avan enge poraan , ethukku poraanuu theriyaathu unakku
hmmm - Sara goes straight to that call girl. She is in a hotel room.
Sara goes in and she is all smiles. Sara tries to clarify in a hurry.
Tells that woman that he needs a help from her - well, here is how
it goes - Sara tells her that he is in love with a girl who is married -
" I keep seeing her everyday knowing well that I cant get her any more.
My mom wants me to marry and has fixed a girl for me. I do not want to
marry because I wont be able to do justice to this girl. What I need you to
do is ...please call that girl and tell her that I am not a nice person...bad
habits neriya... apdi nnu solli stop this wedding please... ungalai yen
akka vaa ninaichu kekkaren...." ( yeeyyy kirukku, oru phone thaane pannanum,
athukku intha amma thaan venumaa??? some passerby can do it !!!!
arivu kozhunthu yya nee..) Well, what follows is expected. - Correct aa
Jhanis appa comes for a raid, catches Sara and that woman..... feels bad that
he was about to spoil his daughter's life.... Sara is taken to the police station.

Tilaga household - Naming ceremony starts. The priest asks for the name of the
child - Shiva - then he asks all the people to call the baby by that name - all
go near the child and say the name in his ears ( athu sari, oru periya gumbal irukku,
pappa kathu sevida pOida pOrathu !!!) Every body calls that name - QBS kooda
does not object !!!! - athai is angry. Starts to object and Tilaga draws her aside.
Athai is angry that the baby is not named as Kalai Arasu -" evvalavu gambiramaana
name??? athai yen thambi peranukku vaikkame..." Tilaga pleads - " nalla kaariyam...
avanga veetu peran...enna per vaicha enna??" Athai jumps some more and finally
agrees to adakki vasichufy - goes in. Durga asks Athai to call the baby's name
and athai voices Roja's fear -" ellarum pannina baby kku infection aagidum... my
blessings are always there... he will grow up to be another Kalai Arasu and will
be a great business man" ( avanaiyum bayanthu Oorai vittu Oda solringalaa nnu
Durga kekkalai..she is busy...the storm is still brewing..waiting for moron to make
a move...😳)

Well, the time has come for Durga to pounce. Angu asks moron to bless the kid and
present the gold finger ring. Durga jumps -"thambi nillunga" Moron is shocked and
so are the others. Durga says that she does not want moron to bless her grandson -
" he tried to kill my son, kolaigara paavi...ivan bless pannina my grandson will grow
up to another moron..." Angu is livid - " ohhh so, this is the reason for your keeping
quiet all this while ??? You were planning mentally so that u can insult my son
at the right time??? My son is not uthaman...but now he is a reformed guy... he wants
to make amends..and u insult him like this?" Athai is happy to watch this drama -
has a lovely sly smile.... Now QBS confronts MIL - " moron thirunthittar...intha
pappavai pethava naan, I am ok with it...what rights do u have on my son?" Durga
says that the baby is her grandson " enakku illatha urimaiya??" Tilaga tries to placate
but Durga is categorical " u may believe him... because your Loosu is married to him..
I do not have to tolerate him..." Moron walks out quietly. Angu and Danda follow suit.
Angu asks Loosu to stay until the function is over. Durga is seething and now Loosu
takes the podium - " you could have told us that you have a problem about him
coming here?? he would not have come and got insulted like this!!! You talked so much but he left with out a word... now who is better?? You or him??" After this outburst tells
her family that she is leaving too -" If I stay here, then it means that I do not respect
my hubby. But amma, please, make sure that u do not invite my family if u plan to
have COD's family around.." storms out. Megs, Tilaga and the rest are fretting -
athai is smiling... Durga is seething...

Thursday 10/9/09 Episode No 574

Danda household - Tams gets briefed about the naming
ceremony. Tams screams as usual - " we have forgotten

irukka maatten.." Tilaga goads, Durga seethes..COD begs..
Megs vicks..nothing works !!! Sadasivam takes COD and Durga
back home. Tilaga shouts at QBS for acting like an unbaked
idiot. But QBS says that she has enough rosham for the whole
of Madras - " I cant go down on my knees.." Athai takes Kavi
and Sezhi back to where they belong. Tilaga cries - Megs
as usual does a kathakali dance with her eyes and hands -
cant decide as to whose shadow she should follow.

Danda household - all are discussing Sara's wedding. Well, the
police kaaran comes - shouts at the family for raising a son like
Sara - " I caught him myself ..with a call girl.. dont get him married
to some girl and spoil her life.." Police man storms out.. Amutha
cries - another eye juice flooding - all the others say that Sara is
a nice fellow - " must be mistaken identity.." Moron goes to the
police station - to rescue Sara..

Friday Episode No 575 11/9/09

Durga COD and Sadasivam - COD is jumping - shouts at his mother
" If u did not like moron coming for the function, you should have
told me in advance!!! ellathaiyum manasile pottu pootti vaichu
function le vanthu maanathai vaangittiye??" Durga shouts back -
" na mattum thaan thappu panninenaa??? un wife enna thimira
pesina?? ava thappu pannaliya??" Sadasivam says that QBS
talked like that only because Durga started the fight. Durga says
that both father and son suffer from Alzheimers - "that guy almost
killed my son !! marathuttingalaa???" Finally Durga has the last
word - " QBS insulted me in front of a big crowd - my hubby and
my son just witness that , do not defend me !!! and on top of that,
both of u scold me as if i did a big mistake.." cries and goes in.
Both COD and dad are as usual speechless.

Moron comes to the police station - to rescue Sara - The inspector says
that Sara was caught red handed. Moron pleads with patience and
says that Sara is a very nice man -" please do not prosecute him.
Naanga romba gowravamaana family ( apdiyaa?? nee jail kku
ponathu, murder attempts ella maranthu pOittiyaa??) Please release
him. We will make sure that he does not do any thing like this again"
In all this that call girl gets up a few times to say some thing but the
policeman who stands guard does not allow her. Sara is released.

Athai and Sezhi - visiting Maniac. Sezhi has no clue as to why this
sudden sojourn happens but athai says that she never does any
thing with out a reason. Athai barges in to maniac's office. Maniac
is all smiles. Athai weaves the plot beautifully - "thambi, Sezhi
kku unga kitte yetho kekkanumaam..aana romba koocham....
neenga yaaru? ava akka vai kalyanam pannikka poreenga...maama
..unga kitte poi..." Maniac is thrilled to hear this ( athu sari) and
says that he will do whatever Sezhi wants. Sezhi makes a big fuss
and athai spells it out herself - "antha star chemicals kitte yetho
order vaangi tharennu ivan FIL kitte sonninga..athai ivanukku vaangi
kuduthaa, thaniya business panni.... mele varuvaan.." Maniac is
very happy -" for sure, consider it done" Sezhi and athai leave and
athai gloats to Sezhi "athai samathu paarhtiyaa???" Sezhi is in
awe - marvels at athai's skill - how she can manipulate the likes of
maniac.

Tilaga household. QBS is going to back to B'lore with baby and COD.
COD wants paatti to come along so that the baby can be taken care of.
QBS does not want that -" unga amma athukku oru moochu sandai
poduvaanga... enga veettu manushangalai mattum sethukkarennu...
I can take care of my baby..." finally they leave without paatti.

Sara comes home - Amutha shouts at her son -" I am ashamed of you.
Dont call me amma.." Danda comes and shouts " appa nnu unnai adichu
valakkame vittutten... " takes the green belt and does palaar palaar a few
times...Loosu and moron try to stop him but he does not stop soon -
after making Sara roll on the floor, Danda leaves. Moron hugs Sara
and takes him away...Loosanandhi is pensive - Sherlock Holmes
decides to investigate I guess....

Roja gets the much deserved break habbaaaaaa
