SCENE 4 ~*~*~*~
Update 1

Lovely morning. It's so good to be back to Sanjeevani. Niki thought as she walked to her locker. She opened her locker to find one fresh red rose in it. With a smile on her face she picked it up carefully and smiled looking at it. She remembered - the last time she opened her locker, how worried she was to get through Abhi's indifference. But now she is welcomed by a red rose. Brushing the rose against her cheek she dreamily said "Abhi".
"Yes" A familiar voice brought her out of her reverie.
She turned around to find the man whom this rose is from standing in front of her with a content expression on his face and staring at her. She walking towards him and looking at him lovingly she asked "Tum - "
Rolling her eyes and a little smile on her face she asks "Tum yaha kya kar rahe ho"
When he doesn't answer her, she waiving her hand in front of his eyes asks
"Tum kar kya rahe ho yaha. Yeh locker room sirf interns ke liye hai."
Pulling her closer by holding her hand
"haan, haan, pata hai. Lekin yeh intern to meri hai na. Aur waise bhi main to is hospital ka boss hun, kahi bhi aa - jaa sakata hun"
Niki moving closer to him
"Boss? To boss har internse aaise milata hai?"
Abhi putting his arms around her waist "Haan."
When he gets a fake angry expression from Niki, with a smile on his face he continues
"Jab intern tum jaise bewakoof sundar ladaki ho to boss ko aaisa karana hi padega na"
Looking at him and still faking angry expression she punches him in his chest and says
"To tum sirf bewakoof sundar intern ke saath haan? Lekin --"
"-- us dinki baat thi. Lekin chill ridz, ab tu sirf apani shaadi pe dhyaan de." She pauses to hear Anjali.
Turning around she finds Atul, Muskaan, Ridz and Anjali walking towards them, all busy chatting with each other. She turns around to abhi and puts her both hands on Abhi's chest and pushes herself out of Abhi's grip but he doesn't let her go.
She looks into his eyes pleading and making faces to let her go. Finally he lets her go and takes few steps back, while she runs to her locker. Kissing the rose gently, she hurriedly keeps it in the locker and closes it.
Abhi with slight smile on his face looks at her and then composing himself in firm tone says
"Dr. Nikita, New Sanjeevani Project reports mujhe dopehar ko table pe chahiye. Now get back to work".
He walks to interns who were standing by the entrance of the locker room.
"Excuse me doctors"
They stare at him in surprise and little annoyance and give him way to pass.
When he goes out of sight, everyone walks to Niki who is little confused and frightened if her friends did see her with Abhi.
Ridz asks her how is she. But before she could answer, Muskaan asks her
"Yeh machaar yaha subah subah? Tumhe pareshaan karane ka ek mouka nahi chodata na."
Niki lowers her eyes, composes herself and tells Muskaan
"Guys, I am fine. And Ab- Dr. Mod to -- woh report ke baare me baat karane aaye the. Nothing else. Chill. How have you been. Aur Armaan kaha hai?"
Everybody looks at Ridz with little uncomfort and Ridz tells Niki
"Woh aata hi hoga, Niki suno mujhe tumse bahot jaroori baat karani hai tum jab free hogi to sham ko mujhe cafe me milana"
Nodding her head she walks to her locker room as others go to theirs.
Armaan walks in the locker room towards Ridz. They share a smile and some morning hi hello and then he turns around to find Niki by her locker. He goes to her, hugs her, happy to see her back after so many days and asks her how she has been.
She breaking from hug, and thinking about Abhi with little worry on her face tells him that she was fine and she wants to talk something important to him. He asks her what it is.
"Idhar nahi. Shaam ko cafe me milo, tab baat karate hai."
Armaan still worried about her friend asks her
"Kahi woh Modi ne tumhe - "
But before he could finish it Anjali shouts back at them
"Armaan, Niki chalo briefing session ko late hoga."
Asking them to go ahead he turns around to Niki to continue their conversation, but Niki tells him
"Armaan, hum dono shaam ko baat karate hai. Abhi chalein."
Nodding his head, little disappointed and worried he walks to his locker, grabs his lab coat while Niki grabs hers and they both walk toward the briefing area.

Update 2

Niki seeing Kirti after so many days goes to her and hugs her lovingly and says
"Kaise hai aap, Dr kirti. Aur Dr. Shubhankar aur Navneeta kaise hai."
Kirti pleased seeing her yet keeping her firm tone tells her everyone is fine. After a while she starts giving everybody their duties
"Dr Anjali - ICU, Dr. Muskaan - Childrens Ward, Dr Ridhima - General Ward, Dr. Armaan - Path Lab and Dr Atul, Dr Nikita - OPD. Get back to work now."
Everyone nodded as they were told about their duties. When Kirti left after little bit of chit-chatting and giggling everyone goes to their duties.

In OPD, Atul was checking a patient who was complaining of fever and cold, while Niki was checking a little girl who had bruises on her knee. Niki prescribed medicines for the little girl and waived bye to her and her mother who left from there happy that there was nothing major to worry about.
Atul too sent his patient with prescription and looked at Niki who was looking lost in Rajasthan's lovely moments together with Abhi.
"Niki .. Niki.."
Coming out of her thoughts, Niki looked at Atul, confused
"aaaann"
"Niki, Are you ok?"
He gets up and walks to Niki while Niki tells him that she is fine and was thinking about the report she has to give in by afternoon.
Atul with understanding look says
"I know, woh Dr. Modi bhi na. Ek minute nahi chodate pareshaan karane ka."
"Doctors"
Atul and Niki turn around and jump to find Abhi standing with his hands on his waist and looking at them.
"Why aren't you checking up patients? Duty ke waqt gappe?"
Atul and Niki looking at each other and then towards Abhi with lowering eyes say "Sorry".
Abhi tells them to get back to work and Atul goes back to checking up next patient who has stomach pain complaint. When Niki sees Atul taking his patient behind the curtains for the checkup, she walks closer to Abhi and says
"Dr. Modi, Aap aaj raat 8 baje free to honge na?"
Abhi not paying attention to what she is asking looks around to see if anyone is watching them and takes a step back from Niki and says
"What are you doing? This is hospital, aur tum patient ka check up kyu nahi kar rahi ho."
Niki walking further close to Abhi asks "Dar gaye?"
Abhi still taking a step back says "Dar? Abhimanyu Modi kisise darata nahi. Main to tumhare liye soch raha hun" Turning to where atul was "kahi tumhare friend ne dekh liya to? Kya kahega woh"
Niki holding his face and moving it in her direction teasingly says
"Woh to abhi busy hai, tumhi ne to use bheja na checkups ke liye, mujhse akele me baate karane ke liye na"
"Aur koi waha corridor se jaa raha ho to?" Abhi asked looking at Niki who has naughty smile on her face.
"To dekhane do" Niki shrugging his doubts off, taking another step towards him and holding his hand, very well knowing that everyone is at their duty and no one would be around to watch.
Abhi pulling his hand out from hers and moving another step back keeping the distance says "Mujhe pitane ka koi shauk nahi hai"
Niki's eyes suddenly turning moist and expressions changing to sad remembering last few times Abhi had to face Armaan because of Niki.
Abhi understanding her thoughts very well moved closer to her and held her hand while Niki said "Abhi, main aaisa ab kabhi hone nahi dungi."
Abhi with a smug on his face said "Main to bhul hi gaya tha. Ab to mere paas meri Jhansi ki raani hai, to ab mujhe kisise darane ki kya jaroorat"
Niki happily pinching his nose said "Bilkul, aur yeh baat ab kabhi mat bhulana."
Abhi smiling at her and bowing infront of her he left saying
"Ji Raaniji, ab main chalata hun, meri ek meeting hai. Tum bhi woh report pe concentrate karana"
With a smile on her face, Niki kept looking at his figure till he was out of sight and then got back to working on the report.

Update 3

After his meeting Abhi enters his cabin and takes a seat on his chair. He stares at a file that was lying just in front of him on the table. "New Sanjeevani Project Report" The heading read.
He smiled and thought about Niki. So she completed on time. Good job. He opens it to go through it but surprised to see a small plain white paper folded in it.
He unfolds it with curiosity and reads
"Dinner date 8pm. Will meet you in parking lot. Don't be late."
He stared it for few good minutes with a smile on his face thinking about Niki before putting it in his drawer and getting back to the file. He had to struggle with his heart a lot to put his concentration on the work but somehow he managed it.
After completing reading through the report and few patient files that needed his attention, he had final work of the day remaining before he can go to parking lot where his heart was drawing him continuously.
Using phone on his desk, he asked nurse to send Dr Kirti and Shubhankar to his cabin.
He had been held in so many meetings related new Sanjeevani project since morning that he had not got time to speak to Dr Kirti and Shubhankar about the hospital's and above all interns work during his absence.
He continued to wait for both the doctors and kept looking at the clock. There were still few hours left for the Date but his heart wanted the time to fly so that he can be with Niki.

Aaj main Armaan ko mere aur Abhi ke baare me bata dungi.
Sitting in the cafe chair, sipping steaming hot coffee Niki thought. She glanced outside, the rain had just stopped but it was breezy and romantic evening with Sun just starting to set. She missed Abhi. Clinching her coffee cup she sighed. Right now she had to focus on Armaan.
She knew that it is going to be difficult to make Armaan understand about her love but she also knew that she has to do it.
For Abhi's sake, for her sake, for their sake.
Armaan might not be too happy hearing this, but he will have to accept it. He will see how strong we feel for each other. Hopefully.
She sighed again and looked at the wall clock which was just ticking to 6. There was still some time for her date but Armaan had not yet come. It made her little restless. She looked at the cafe entrance and smiled at Armaan who was just entering with lab coat and stethoscope in his hand and was smiling back at her.

In Abhi's cabin, Dr Shubhankar and Dr Kirti were updating him about the happenings in hospital since he was away. He is informed by Dr Shubhankar that there was a patient who needed an immediate heart surgery and how Dr Muskaan did great job while assisting him.
Abhi enquires about other intern's progress and gets to know that Atul was taking extra efforts for his points and he did great job in his duty for a week in the children's ward.
Dr Kirti then continues telling him that Dr. Anjali has been consistent with her performance but she would like to give credit to Dr Ridhima that even when she suffered so much she didn't let it affect her work.
Abhi taken by surprise asks her
"Suffered?"
Kirti and Shubhankar look at each other and ask him
"Aren't you aware of Armaan's case?"
Further confused and little irritated Abhi asked
"Armaan's case? What's the connection between Dr Armaan's patient and Dr Ridhima's performance?"
Shubhankar again looking at Kirti and nodding his head turned to Abhi and said
"Dr Modi, we meant Armaan's accident not his patient. I thought that Dr Shashank must have updated you"
"Armaan's accident?" shocked Abhi continued "Dr Shashank did sound little worried and stressed out when I last spoke to him but I overlooked it. Lagaa kaam ka kuch jaada hi pressure hoga. But, how is Dr Armaan now. Today when I met him during my rounds he did look ok though"
Still not able to believe it, he looked at both doctors for more details.

"Hey Niki"
Armaan said in his cheerful voice as he took a seat in a chair next to Niki with a cup of coffee. There was radiance and happiness beaming from him.
"Hi Armaan"
Niki greeted him back taking another sip of coffee making her mind to start the conversation she was preparing herself for. Keeping her coffee mug on the table yet holding onto it she looked with a firm and serious face towards Armaan.
"Armaan, mujhe - "
But before she could even start it she hears and turns around to see Ridhima coming in cheerfully greeting them both.
"Hi Armaan, Hi Niki"
Other interns joined them in few minutes and soon it was all interns at the table and each jumping onto the other and having fun and discussion about Armaan-Ridz wedding.
"Ab to Armaan se baat karane se reh hi gaya."
Looking at Armaan she wondered and then noticed that there was little bruise mark on his forehead. To everyone's surprise, she pulled Armaan's forehead and looking carefully at his bruises asked
"Yeh kya hai. Firse boxing?" Turning to Ridz she continued "And you allowed him?"
Ridz looked at Armaan and other interns with uncomfortable look and told Niki
"Niki, it isn't boxing"
"Boxing nahi? to phir?" Pulling herself back in her chair Niki asked still worried but now more confused.
Looking at Ridz's emotionally stressed eyes, Anjali said
"Niki, Armaan had an accident a week back"
"What?" Niki shocked and worried looked at Armaan, Ridhima and then back to Anjali. "And you guys didn't even inform me?"
Turning to Armaan "And you, are you ok now?"
Nodding his head to Niki he thought that it isn't going to be easy to calm her down once she gets to know about him.

Dr Kirti looking at Abhi said
"Dr Modi, don't worry, He is ok now. But last week" giving a quick look at her husband and then looking back to Abhi continued "He had few internal brain injuries"
~*~*~*~
"What? Brain injuries?"
Niki more shocked looked at Armaan and Anjali and still not believing what she just told her.
Nodding her head Anjali continued "Armaan was suffering from partial amnesia and he had forgotten past 2 years in his life."
~*~*~*~
"Partial amnesia?" still shocked Abhi looked at Kirti and Shubhankar "and he recovered so soon? How?"
Dr Shubhankar continued "For couple of days he did keep fainting when he was reminded that it isn't 2007 but 2009. But in those two days Dr Shashank managed to talk to Dr Kothari and got him for his surgery."
"Dr Kothari? Well known Neurosurgeon"
Nodding his head Shubhankar continued
"His surgery was success. Jab Armaan ko hosh aaya tab usko sab yaad aa raha tha. Ab woh thik hai and infact kalse hi usne duty join ki hai. Dr Kothari ke prescribed medicines chalu hai. He should be completely fit in another week or two."

Niki still stunned, shocked and worried looked at Armaan, who assured her that he is really fine now. Ridz walked to niki and putting hand on her shoulder said
"Niki, we know we didn't inform you, but we really were in so much stress and confusion. When Armaan did not know that its 2009, we had to run behind him everywhere to make sure he doesn't find out. He didn't even remember me, so I was completely shattered. Dr Kothari waqt pe aa gaye nahi to-"
Niki holding her hand assured her "It's ok Ridhima, mujhe pata hai tumane mujhe inform karana chahiye tha, lekin main samajh sakati hun tum sab kis cheese se gujare. Sirf yahi dukh hai ki jab tum logon ko meri jaroorat thi to main yaha nahi thi"
Looking at both of them so emotional, Atul went and jumped between them saying "Guys, chill. Ab sab thik hai. Waise aaj sab log yaha hai, kyun na hum sab dinner ko bahar chalein"

As Dr Kirti and Shubhankar left little worried Abhi thought
Does Niki know about all this
Worrying about her even more he looked at the clock, it was time to find it out. He slowly grabbed a key from his desk and started taking steps towards the parking lot

Update 4

"Atul, kya dimag chalaya hai yaar"
Muskaan said as she walked to Atul and patted him appreciating the idea of dinner together. Soon the cafe was filled with their voices arguing about the place they should go.
They look so happy. The tinge of sadness and stress I saw a while along is now gone. They have been through so much when I wasn't here.
Niki thought as she looked at her friends happy faces.
How can I say no for this dinner?
She thought now looking uncomfortably at others and then looking at the clock.
Only 15 minutes to 8.
She rested her left arm on the coffee table and brushing her forehead with left palm and looked hard at her coffee mug on the table which she was holding by her right hand.
These guys are meeting me after such a long time. How can I say no to them when they are sharing the happiness of bidding good bye to all their problems?
She pulled herself back in the chair, again quickly glancing at the clock and then looking down at the ring in her left little finger and sliding it with in and out by right hand she continued thinking
Abhi would soon be in parking lot waiting for me, for our Date. The Date that she is so looking forward to. The date that she has been dreaming and thinking about since she left that little note for Abhi.
Still playing with the ring she again looked at Ridhima and then Armaan and continued her thoughts
Friends or Love. How come I always get into same situation where I have to choose either of them.

While on his way to parking lot he kept thinking about Niki.
Will she be all right? Of course she would know about Armaan by now.
Reaching parking lot he saw that Niki had not reached there yet. Taking quick steps across parking lot in front of his car and looking at the exit door of the Sanjeevani Abhi thought
Yeh Niki mujhe time pe aao bol ke pata nahi kaha gayab hai.
Looking at his watch he saw there were still 10 more minutes. He was early. Walking to the front door of his car and leaning against it he remembered her note.
Dinner date 8pm. Will meet you in parking lot. Don't be late.
Niki. He thought as he had a smile on his face. He remembered the good time they spent in Rajasthaan in the hut. You looked so beautiful.
It had started to drizzle a bit, looking back at the exit he continued
Ab aa bhi jaao. Kitana intazaar karawaaogi
Feeling little cold because of drizzle he opened the car door, sat down and switched on the radio.
The RJ just announced the listener's dedication and the song started to play.

Barkha mein bhi dil pyaasa hai
Yeh pyaar nahi to kya hai
Dekho kaise bekaraar

Putting hands on the wheel he thought
Yeh radio waalonko bhi pata hai lekin Niki nahi aa rahi hai.
Humming along with the song, still keeping his hands on the wheel but now playing them on the rhythm of the song he continued looking at the exit waiting for Niki.

"Still upset with us?" asked Ridhima noticing worried and restless Niki.
"Aanh -- Nahi" Niki looked at her and replied still looking little worried.
"Phir? Are you all right" Armaan asked
Making up her mind and looking at Ridhima and then others she said
"Guys, can we do this some other time. Tabiyet thodi thik nahi lag rahi hai. Guess its travel and exertion."
I know my promise Abhi. I will never ever let you be same situation. I will not repeat my mistake.
She thought as she looked at others trying to look sick. Everybody stopped their discussion and looked at her. She did look dull and flushed out.
"It's all right Niki, you better take rest. Tum sach me bahot stressed lag rahi ho. Do you need drop home" Anjali asked her walking towards her chair.
"Thanks. Lekin main manage kar lungi. In fact you guys should continue with the plan. Don't spoil it because of me. I will get going. See you tomorrow. Bye guys"
Niki said with slight smile on her face getting up the chair, waiving them bye and walking out of the cafe.
All of them looked at Niki for few seconds before they continued their discussion while as Niki reached cafe entrance facing her back to others smile on her face grew bigger.
She was again in her dreamland. Her first Date with Abhi.
Thinking about him, she quickly went to locker room, grabbed a red colored knee length dress that she had picked up in the afternoon from home and went for the change.
She had to be quick before any of her friends come back from cafe and catch her in those cloths. For them she was tired and going home.

Update 5

As Niki walked towards his car in the red knee length dress, he got down the car and stood by the door staring at her completely mesmerised. She looked absolutely gorgeous.
Seeing him standing there in front of her in the red unbuttoned half sleeve shirt looking at her like that she too lost into his eyes for a moment. Blushing a little as she walked closer to his car, when he didn't say anything and still kept looking at her, feeling little uncomfortable, she waived her hand in front of his eyes.
Being caught looking at her like that, he smiled at her for a moment and then faking anger he asked her
"Mujhe waqt pe aao bolke tum 10 min late aa rahi ho"
Holding her both ears and blinking her eyes very cutely she said "Sorry"
Seeing him softly smiling, she looked into his eyes with challenge and confidence and said
"Waise aaise lag raha hai ki tum to note padane ke baad se hi idhar mera wait kar rahe ho"
Niki, tum nahi sudharogi lekin tumhare yahi adaa pe to main fida hun
Thinking about her mischief deciding to tease her too, shaking his head and walking closer to her he said
"Excuse me Madam. Main busy aadami hun. Aaise 10 ' 10 ghante wait karane ka time nahi hai mere paas."
"Haan.. haan.." pointing her finger at his chest almost burying it in there she continued "Tum to Sanjeevani ke boss ho."
Standing straight she pouted
"Khali to hum intern log hai na"
"Bilkul" Abhi said instantly with a smug on his face
Opening her mouth wide with a shock, Niki said
"You. Tumhe main khaali dikhati hun? Tumhe to main maar daalungi"
She hit him hard in his chest but before her hands could reach there, Abhi held them and pulled her closer and said
"Mujhe abhi maar dalogi to date pe kise leke jaaogi"
Blushing yet trying to show herself composed she said
"Shupup. Haath chodoge to jayenge na"
Pulling her closer to bring her face almost at an inch distance he said "Nahi chodata kya kar logi"
Now feeling really uncomfortable and intimidated by him she tried pulling herself out of his grip and said
"Abhi kya kar rahe ho? Chodo na."
Holding her even more firmly and enjoying her struggle, which wasn't helping at all, he continued
"Kyu? Subah to Jhansi ki raani ban rahi thi. Ab dar lag raha hai?"
Keeping her efforts to free herself she said
"Abhi, maine sabko jhuth kaha ki main ghar jaa rahi hun" pleading with her eyes she continued "Ab woh aa gaye to? Please chalo na"
Giving her understanding look, softly smiling yet not loosening his grip he said
"Thik hai chalo, maine kab manaa kiya hai"
Now making her eyes wide open, Niki almost screamed "Abhi."
Making frightened face, letting her go and then laughing he said
"Chalo thik hai."
Looking at her hurrying into the car he too opened the door. While taking the seat, looking at Niki who was struggling with the seat belt, he continued
"Waise jaa kaha rahe hai?"
Niki had by now managed to belt herself. Tiding her hair she answered
"Tum gaadi chalao, main tumhe directions batati hun"
Acting shocked Abhi teased her "Kya? To kuch to raaste mein se hi khaane ko pick karana padega. Kya pata hum dinner ke jagah kal ke lunch ko pahoche?"
Confused Niki asked "Matlab?"
Smiling at her he said "Tumhe pata hai na tumhara direction sense kitana achha hai"
Looking at him she scowled
"Very funny. Mujhe pata hai hum kaha jaa rahe hai. Tum chupchaap gaadi chalate ho ya?"
Challenging her he said "Ya?"
Niki slid her right index finger across her neck, brought out her tongue and looked at him
Giving defeated expression, sighing he started the car while saying "Ok baba. Chalo"

Armaan, Ridhima, Muskaan, Atul and Anjali watched with their eyes and mouth wide open, shocked at the Abhi's car as it was pulled out of the parking lot.
As the car disappeared out of the sight they looked at each other. Clinching his fist Armaan said
"Kamina kahi ka. Itane raat ko Niki ke saath kya kar raha hai"
Trying to calm him down Ridhima said
"Armaan, Dr Modi achhe insaan hai. Probably woh Niki ko ghar chod rahe ho"
Atul not convinced at all said
"Ridz, lekin Niki to khud ghar jaane waali thi, agar usse lift chahiye hoti to - " looking lovingly at Anjali he continued "Anjali ne to kaha tha na. Hai na Anjali"
Anjali shrugged off Atul and said "Shutup Atul"
"Mujhe hi kuch karana padega"
Armaan said while calling Niki on her cell phone while Ridz looked worriedly at him.

Niki's phone kept vibrating on the dashboard unnoticed by Abhi and Niki both as they were busy arguing over the directions and when they weren't they were busy stealing glances.

After couple of minutes of phone calls Armaan started to get more worried which worried Ridz even more.
"Armaan, I am sure Niki thik hogi. Tum shaant ho jaao. Shayad woh phone silent mode se nikalana bhul gayi ho"
She said while hinting others to help her calm him down.
"Haan Armaan, Ridz thik hi to keh rahi hai. Niki thik hi hogi. Aur waise bhi woh to hamari team ki boxer hai na. Woh Modi ne aaisa waisa kuch kiya to usse chodegi nahi. Kyu Anjali"
Muskaan added trying to hide her worried expressions behind her big smile.
"Armaan, Muskaan thik keh rahi hai"
Anjali said as she gave an understanding look to Ridz and continued
"Ab chalo guys. Nahi to humara dinner plan flop ho jayega."
Giving in to them as Atul pulled him, Armaan slid his phone into the jeans pocker and walked with Atul, Muskaan and Anjali to Anjali's car. Sighing a relief Ridhima too quickly followed them.

As Abhi parked the car, Niki started to open the door. But Abhi indicating her by both his hand to stop and said
"Ruko"
She looked at him surprised.
He got down, went to the other side of the car and smiling softly opened the door for her. Niki got down smiling back at him. As he closed the door, Niki held onto his elbow gently. After losing himself in her affectionate gesture for a few seconds, he looked back at her lovingly as she did same and they both walked in the restaurant.
Niki told the attending waiter that she has a reservation. He quickly looked in his folder and glanced back at both of them and in cheerful polite voice asked them to follow him.
As they walked out of the restaurant from the other side into the open area, Abhi was pleasantly surprised at the arrangements. They were out on a private beach area. There was a small hut like structure which was decorated with red and white curtains. At each pillar of the structure was a small shelf like structure having a beautiful crystal vase holding red roses and few candles surrounding it. In the middle of the structure stood a round table covered with white satin cloth on which there was a flat copper vessel filled in with water and red rose petals, few candles floating in it. The two chairs covered with red and white satin cloth were facing the ocean. The whole ambience looked pleasant and decorated just for them.
The waiter pulled the chair for Niki. As she took her seat he did same for Abhi. When both were seated they were served fresh juice with starters and left alone to enjoy it.
Abhi looked around; theirs was the only table outside. It was so peaceful that they could hear the waves.
Niki was keeping her hands on the table, playing with her ring in the little finger feeling little nervous and looking at Abhi's face trying to gauge his expressions.
Looking back at her lovingly Abhi said
"Yeh jagah to bahot hi sundar hai" holding her hands continued "Bilkul tumhari tarah"
Content that he liked her arrangements yet blushing a little and avoiding his gaze she said
"Thanks. Tumhe achha lagaa."
Cupping her face by his right hand and holding onto her hands by his left one looking at her he said
"Haan"
Niki looked up in his eyes and they both lost into each other till waiter arrived with their main course. Quickly straightening themselves both looked at each other and then at the food. While they were served tempting food, Abhi noticed slight worried expression on Niki's face. As soon as waiter left them, Abhi asked her if she is ok. Nodding her head at him she said
"Abhi, past mein maine bahot galatiyaan ki hai."
"Hun?" Abhi asked picking up a bite from the plate and not knowing what she is talking about.
"Woh mere dostonke saamane maine tumhare liye kabhi bhi kuch nahi bola hai. Meri wajah se hamesha tumhe pareshaani hui hai" Niki said as her sad eyes looked into Abhi's.
Putting down the fork, looking into her eyes and giving her understanding look he started
"Niki - "
But before he could say anything further, Niki continued
"Abhi, lekin ab aage aaisa kabhi nahi hoga. Main Armaan se kal hi baat karungi."
Looking at her worryingly Abhi asked "Lekin Niki, Armaan is just recovering from major brain surgery"
Niki nodded her head and said "Mujhe aaj sabane abhi nikalane ke pehele bataya. Phir apane milane ka waqt bhi ho raha tha. Lekin main kal sabko - "
Holding her hands Abhi said "Niki, I understand you want to make things right. Par Armaan abhi thik ho raha hai. Usake medicines abhi bhi chalu hai. Aaise haal me usaka shaant aur khush rehana bahot important hai"
"Lekin Abhi - "
Niki tried to say something but Abhi fondling her hair gently and comforting her said
"Niki, hum dono doctors hai. Tum achhi tarahse jaanati ho Armaan pe isaka kya effect ho sakata hai. Hume aaisi koi chiz nahi karani chahiye jisase hume baadame pachatana pade"
She leaned and rested her head on his chest as he continued comforting her and added
"Waise hum milate rahenge aaj ki tarah. Tum Armaanse juth bolke aaogi to usase tumhara time churane me bada majaa aayega."
She looked at him smiling at her mischievously. She too teasingly said
"Main nahi juth bolungi. Apana milana ab Armaan ke thik hone ke baad hi"
He sighed "Phew" and then with a smug expressions said "Are you sure?"
"Sure haan. Sure my foot. Tumhe to main -" she said while almost about to hit him when the waiter came and she had to quickly compose herself.
Abhi laughed at her while she kept making faces. Their dessert was served. They enjoyed it while they were reminiscing their old time together in medical camp and panchgani. Niki teased him about his losing cloths at the camp while he was so lost in her that he didn't even realise that she was making fun of him. Looking at his gaze, she lowered her eyes giving a small smile while he leaned and kissed on her forehead. Putting his arms around her he said
"Niki, hamesha aaisehi hasate rehana. Main tumhe hamesha khush dekhana chahata hun"
Leaning into him Niki said
"Abhi, I love you. Main khush hun ki tum mere jindagi main aaye. Main tumhare bina bilkul nahi reh sakati. Mujhe kabhi chodake mat jaana"
Tightening his arms around her he said
"Kabhi nahi. I love you too."
They sat there what felt like eternity in each other's arms looking at ocean, enjoying its music and their heart beats racing with the waves. The candles kept burning witnessing their love which seemed to be growing with every second.

Update 6 ~*~*~*~
Lost in the world of their dreams, they both were looking down at the beach where waves crashed against it and made rhythmic sound. The rain had stopped and it had cleared the sky. The moon was now up above them perfectly round and bright. The night was still young and beautiful.
Breaking the silence looking down at Niki, Abhi gently said "Niki, Chalein?"
She was so lost in her dream world that she didn't want to go back so soon, she didn't respond as if she almost didn't hear him. When he didn't get any response from her, he moved his eyes to the point where she was looking. There was a cruise far way decorated with hundreds of small lights. It stood out in the ocean being the only one around.
Resting his head on hers, he said "Niki, Mujhe laga tha maine tumhe kho diya hai. But you believed me. Thank you for trusting me. I would never leave you alone."
Without moving her eyes from the beautiful cruise which was slowly getting smaller as it moved further away she said "Promise?"
Holding her chin gently, turning it to face him and looking into her eyes with soft smile he said "Promise. Pakka Promise."
There was bright smile that touched Niki's eyes. She felt like luckiest girl to be with the man she loved at this romantic place, to have someone who cared for her and loved her and is with her. She tightened her grip on his arm, feeling more secure and rested her head back on his shoulder and continued to look at the cruise. It felt like all sadness, loneliness from her life was going far away just like it was disappearing in the dark beyond the horizon.
"Ab chalate hain Niki, Kal hospital bhi to jaana hai" he said little unwillingly and noticing a little disappointment spreading over Niki's face with his words, he thought I too would love to stay here for some more time but I can't forget that we are doctors and we have patients to save.
"What? Tumhe itane romantic jagah pe bhi hospital yaad aa raha hai. Dr. Modi, tumhare dimag aur dil ka ilaaj kawana padega" Jerking out from his shoulder and looking at him she pouted.
"Really? Aur woh kon karega, Yeh 4 foot 1 inch intern?" He said teasing the little girl sitting by his side.
"Hello? 4 foot 11 inch! Aur intern hai to kya hua, main achhi doctor hun." She replied back cheekily to his teasing.
"Toh kab se shuru ho raha hai mera ilaaj" He was keen to know what is more she going to do to stay here.
"Main nek kaam me deri nahi karati." She didn't budge in so eaily. She moved little up, kissed him on his chick and ran away on the beach.
He touched his his chick where she kissed and looked into the direction Niki ran. Realising what just struck him, with a soft smile on his face he chased after her. After a long run he finally caught her and grabbed her in his arms.
She was struggling to get out of his strong hold, while he secured her in his arms and bent over her back. Looking down at her he softly said "Bas itanasa ilaaj. Isase kya hoga doctor. Marij bahot serious hai. Aur ilaaj ki jaroorat hai."
He found her smiling shyly and looking down, she was now trying even harder to get out of his grip but he was too strong for her. He bent down to gently kiss her over her bare neck sending current through her body. She shivered and almost forgot about her effort to free herself. He gently turned her around to face him. She was still looking down conscious of him around her. With a right index finger he touched her chin gently to make her look into his eyes. They both were aware of each other; the passion in their eyes was rising with every second. She shut her eyes as if to say "I am all yours". Tenderly he brushed her hair that were coming down her eyes and tucked them behind her ear. Sliding her finger further down he caressed her chicks and she heaved heavily in its rhythm. Her eyes even though closed were telling him to close the little distance that was remaining between them. He slid his hands over hers and arrested her in his arms locking their fingers behind her. Pulling her very close, he gently kissed her while she kissed him back tightening her grip and entwining her fingers tightly with his. In each kiss there was passion, love, care, everything in the world that they both craved for. It felt like the world stopped just for them or if not they wanted it to stop at that very moment.
A sudden ringtone from Niki's phone brought them back to reality. They took a step back from each other and little disappointed Niki looked at her phone.
"Ridz? Itani raat ko? Hope sab kuch thik hoga" she murmered while picking up this late night call from Ridhima..
"Sogayi thi kya Niki?" She heard a meek voice from the other side.
"Nahi Ridz, lekin sab thik to hai na? Tum itani raat ko call kar rahi ho" Niki was still worried and looked at Abhi who was also looking at her.
"Sab thik hai Niki. Main to bas tumhe woh Armaan ke baare me batana chahati thi" a nervous voice of Ridhima scared Niki.
"Armaan? Kya hua use?" fearing for the worst she held Abhi's hand tightly and looked at him for support. Abhi put his hand on hers comforting her. He bent down to put his ear to the phone from the other side to listen about Armaan.
"Use kuch nahi hua Niki" Niki sighed a relief after hearing about it. Seeing Niki calmed, Abhi moved away from the phone and turned to wrap her her in his arms. He bent over her nuzzling in her hair while confused Niki asked Ridz "Phir?"
"Woh shaam ko Armaanne tumhe Dr Modi ke saath jaate hue dekh liya tha. He was angry at Dr. Modi for making you work even when you weren't feeling well. Niki, tum Armaan se baat karo, warana phir se un dono ke bich kuch ho gaya to?" Ridhima told her concern.
"Dont worry Ridhima, kal main Armaan se milke baat karati hun. Tum relax ho jao aur itana tension mat lo." comforted Niki to disturbed Ridz.
"Niki, thanks a ton. Tumhe to pata hain na armaan ke condition ke baare main. I was worried ki kahi kuch ho gaya to?" little relieved Ridhima confided her fears in her friend.
"Ridhima, tum shant ho jaao. First thing in the morning, I will talk to Armaan. Phir koi problem nahi hoga. You relax and take rest now." reassured Niki.
"Thanks Niki, Waise aaj tum mujhse kuch kehena chahati thi na cafe me?" asked Ridhima recollecting the chat between them in the locker room earlier this morning.
"Haan, nothing very urgent though. Main kal baat karati hun tumse." Niki told her while smiling at Abhi who was breathing over her neck sending her tickling sensation.
"Ok Niki, good night"
"Good night Ridz, bye"
As she hung up the phone, Abhi looked at her with questioning eyes asking for what was all that about. She smiled back and told him about Armaan.
"Niki maine tumhe bataya na, tum Armaan se kuch mat kaho, I will handle him." Abhi told her as she was informing him about them being caught while leaving from Sanjivani.
"Lekin.."
Niki tried to chip in but before she could Abhi firmly told her
"Lekin wekin kuch nahi, trust me Niki. I will handle him. Aur ab chalo. It's getting late." He said as he looked at the watch.
She shook her head in agreement and looked in the direction that was earlier brightened up by the dim lights from the cruise which she was following. There was darkness now, after it had disappeared behind the horizon. Looking back at Abhi contently and holding his hand, she walked to his car with him. As their car drove away there was once again perfect silence on the beach except the sound from waves lashing against the shore. Moon was now moving fast towards the horizon in the hurry to make a way to new morning.
