As kruthika is not able to update today, I am doing it instead. I haven't paid much attention to today's episode.
So, giving you all a very brief update with whatever I could recollect.........

12th August, 2009 - Update

Garodia parivar:

Raakhi celebration is going on. Saras and Gauri tie rakhis to Yuvraaj, n he gives them gifts. All the family members are very happy.
Saras makes her daughter Kiran tie rakhi to Naman. Yuvraj gifts the lil one too.

Yuvraaj says he is missing his other sisters. He tells Saras that he already called up Laxmi n Durga n wants to talk to Jhanvi.

Saras is about to call Jhan, but Jhanvi calls them at the same time. She asks yuvraaj to forgive her for not trusting him and for what she said. Yuv asks her to forget everything...n asks her to be happy!

He passes thru Niyati's room and sees his daughter Pratiksha crying. He hesitates for a moment, then goes inside the room and picker her up. Niyati comes inside the room. Yuv says sorry to her for picking the baby up.
Niyati says he is the father and has every right to pick her up. and says its her fault keeping his daughter away from him.
Yuv is very happy...
Sav overhears all this...n she too is happy.

Gauri n aaksh's front:

Both of them go out to park... akash says he wants to marry her again, and take her for honeymoon too once again. He admits that he really loves her(!!!!) Gauri is very happy...
His phone rings...n it is is Paayal...he ingonres her call but she keeps calling him.
Finally he picks her call...
Aakash tells her that there is no future to their relationship and they should stay away.
She asks him she cant leave him n go away...
aakash tells her that he wants to be with Gauri all his life...and asks her not call him again. he disconnects the phone.
Paayal gets mad...she throws away her phone n other things......

Nikhil's village:

Nikhil's father wins the election and becomes the Sarpanch of the village.
He along with his sons and all supporters celebrate his victory.
He goes to his opponent who contested against him( who tried to kill him by removing breaks in his Jeep)...and gives him sweets. And warns him against doing any harm to him or his family.

Jhanvi is on terrace... and is sad...... Nikhil asks her whats the matter. She says that she is missing her family a lot...

Thanks for the update.

For some odd reason, I thought that Thakurain's ghost had messed up the breaks. I guess not. The opponent doing it instead of Thakurain makes more sense.

Akash loves Gauri? My my! Isn't he on a rollercoaster ride. If hate could be so easily overturned, then we wouldn't be having these stupid wars in the world. I still think that what he "feels" for Gauri is more like sympathy and less like love. Gauri hasn't done anything to make him love her. She's still the same pushover. As for Payal, I think that she'll be a new villain, which is stupid since the show is going off air in a week.

i think of akash and gauri's relationship the same way ... sympathy.. not love.. they are such an awkward couple

I completely agree. It's weird watching their romantic scenes....it just happened to quickly....doesn't really make sense.

I'm amazed at how a show that is ending in a week is moving so slowly. Well except the Akash-Gauri track, which is moving at an uncomfortably fast pace after dragging for weeks.
