UBIASED Observations on INTERNET VOTING.

I've read a lot of negative stuff about Internet Voting…

I want to present another UNBIASED view, just from my observations…

I wish I had done this BEFORE NIHIRA WAS ELIMINATED… maybe more people would have voted for her… Even if the final winner is rigged, we would still been able to enjoy her singing till the end…

People who don't believe in Internet voting, PLEASE try and RESPOND to my Qs… I'm really interested in your views…

This is what I have observed since they started internet voting…

1. The first week I found I could keep voting repeatedly by hitting the vote button; I kept getting that popup that said "thanks for voting"

2. The next week they fixed that bug by adding cookies… so we either had to exit the browser, or clear cookies before voting a 2nd time.

3. The following week they were rotating pictures around to stop people from voting repeatedly… or automatically by writing programs.

4. Last week, I recall everyone in the forum was UPSET when the site said "voting was down for maintenance"… Everyone said they were doing that to keep Hemachandra out because he gets a lot of internet votes… But that wasn't true… They were upgrading the software to add the security code information…

If they were not counting the votes at all, why would they go to so much trouble to upgrade the software every week ?? Why would they care to improve accuracy ??

They don't need to prove anything to US Internet voters !!!!! It costs money and time to update software every week…

SO PLEASE, KEEP YOUR HOPES UP, AND KEEP VOTING FOR YOUR FAVORITE CANDIDATE… (at least they won't get eliminated prematurely)…

well put... we should keep voting online... but one thing that i cant understand is, when multiple voting is allowed thru sms, why they r taking so much pains to avoid it online??

People can create programs to continuously send votes 24/7. This would seriously screw the results.

maybe because it is negligible...

any descent coder can write a script to vote continuously for his fav contestant 😉

But now they changed the script to include random codes

I don't think they are trying to avoid telling us the % of internet votes... I remember one week they told us the total number of votes, and also the total number of online votes...

Yes, any Java coder could have written a program to send votes continuously... but now that the pictures are being randomly re-arranged, and with the random codes, that's not possible...

Even the people who SMS have to cough up money... so its not that EASY, unless they have unlimited funds to spend on this contest (like HR for instance 😉 😡 )

YOu know that if they are upgrade the software and doing such things you know there is title on the site which says that since long that

"Who is the best singer among the twelve below?"

so they try to upgrade the things and they are not able to upgrade the title right.... so dumb... first check the whole detail then make such silly comment that they upgrade the voting.. ...

Dumb ass... this is just making fool to people.. and more over if you will watch the show they never show the internet link in the USA telecast.

More over we had asked to them in past... " How we people from USA can vote to contestant" they reply to me that " USA people are not eligable for the voting for the legal problem.

Now what else you need to know.. post the reply . .I will answer it.

You know what… I'm trying my best to write my posts in such a way that they don't OFFEND anyone… So, I would appreciate if you don't call my comments "silly or dumb"

Here are TWO FACTs…

1. They ARE upgrading the site every week to try and make the voting count MORE ACCURATE…

2. They forget to update a small title on the top that does not affect the accuracy of anything…anyone can SEE the number of contestants and their pictures…

You please tell me, which is more IMPORTANT ???

Which has more SIGNIFICANCE ???

I'm not saying the ARE counting the votes… I'm just giving my UNBIASED observations. If you want to go by the small title, then that's your choice… I rather think its more important that they are trying to count votes correctly.

Any way I will keep voting to do may share but I highle doubt that it is counted...also they never tell where Hemu gets max votes from...Are they scared to say all over from world for him

You have a POSITIVE outlook, which is really GREAT !!!

The truth is, we will NEVER KNOW if they really count our votes or not...

BUT one thing for sure... If we DON'T even try to vote, we cannot complain when our favorite candidate got eliminated because of poor public taste...
