*hum* I don't actually know what to say about this shot since the person already knew it was going to be about her, I just hope that she likes it! *hugs*
He didn't know why his older brother had sent him to live with his friend and her little sister while he was visiting in Seattle. He was perfectly capable of staying in a nice hotel. He sneezed as he watched the street flow by in the gloomy rain.
He didn't like rain; it was something that just made him feel like a drowned dog or something. It was just blah and now here he was in a city where it constantly rained.
The driver rode up a private driveway and he immediately rolled down his window to catch a better look. Maybe bhaiyya really is always right. This place looks like a mansion! He quickly rolled up the window before paying the driver and taking out his luggage.
He looked up at the huge house before stepping up to the door and ringing the doorbell.
"Di!!! Kahan ho aap? There's someone at the door!" He heard a voice from above him and as he glanced up he saw a girl staring down at him with big brown eyes. The drops from her wet hair hit him in the face as he blinked slowly to keep her face in his mind.
Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si
Soti Raaton Mein Jaagi Si
She shook her head at him before smiling and disappearing. A frown formed at his forehead when he realized he wanted to keep staring at her. He looked back down at the still closed door and took out his cell phone about to call his older brother when it opened and the same girl from above was staring at him.
Mili Ek Ajnabi Se
Koi Aaage Na Peechhe
Tum Hi Kaho Ye Koi Baat Hai
Hmm
"Who are you?" She hung onto the door as if guarding him from entering the house.
"Preet. Preet Juneja. Prem Bhaiyya must've talked to you?" He stepped a bit closer to get cover from the rain.
"Prem? Whose Prem?" She blinked at him curiously. Then her eyes went wide again and she hit a hand against her head. "Crap! Prem? Prem Juneja?"
Preet nodded slowly, amused at this reaction from her.
"Di even told me! Kahan hain woh?" She muttered under her breath before looking back at him. "Oh I'm sorry, come in. Di told me that you were supposed to be coming today. She must've gone out to run an errand or something,"
Preet smiled as he stepped inside. "Horrid weather huh?"
She shut the door behind him and just stared at him. "I can not believe you just said that." She shook her head. "Rain is amazing,"
Preet just rolled his eyes as he took in the house. It was just really big but he loved the simple touches everywhere. Just like the girl standing behind him who was completely drenched.
"Umm, the living room is through there, and the kitchen's over there and the bathroom is on this side." She pointed him in different directions. "I'm'uh going to go change. I'll be right back," she gave him a friendly smile before rushing up the stairs.
Dil Hi Dil Mein Chali Jaati Hain
Bighdi Bighdi Chali Aati Hain
He didn't know why but his heart wanted to keep watching her every move. There was something so special about her. She seemed to have attitude yet there was a sweet innocence in the way she talked.
Doondh Laati Hui Balkhati Hui
Saawan Ke Suni Raat Mein
All of a sudden the lights went out and Preet was stunned. India mein to light jaati hain, Seattle mein bhi? he shook his head as he took out his cell phone and walked around until he heard a shriek from upstairs.
His eyes went wide as he guided himself up the stairs. "Excuse me?" He didn't even know her name. How stupid could that be? "Excuse me? Are you alright?"
"I think so," he got a quite response and he saw a bit of light shining from one room down the hall.
"Can I help you?" He asked. "Are you in the room with the light?"
"Yeah,"
Without her consent Preet lightly pushed open the door and saw her with a match in hand trying to light another candle but the wick was too low and she kept burning her finger.
"Let me help."
She jumped as she heard his voice and shook her head.
Mili Ek Ajnabi Se
Koyi Aage Na Peechhe
He stepped up to her and took the box of matches from her hand.
Tum Hi Kaho Ye Koyi Baat Hai
Hmm
She stared as he lit the match and lit her candle. She didn't know if it was the candle light or something but she couldn't help but smile. It wasn't every day she was kind of stranded in a dark house with a stranger. She walked away from him trying to erase the weird thoughts she was having about him. She started drying her hair not noticing that her stranger was staring right back at her.
Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si..
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
A few hours later the two of them were sitting in the family room in front of the fire; He was just admiring the way the rain shone as it hit the window and reflected with the light being emitted from the fire while she was fully engrossed in her book.
"So what's your name?" Preet finally asked from the opposite couch.
"It just occurred for you to ask? It's been like 3 hours," She rolled her eyes as she looked up from the book she was holding.
"So sue me, I just remembered." He smirked back.
"Rubina,"
"Pyar se main tumhe Rinki bula sakhta hoon?"
She scoffed as she looked back down at her book. "Pyar se? Nahin. Rubina's a nice name. I rather you use it and besides," She glanced up from her book. "I'd like it if you stopped staring at me,"
"I can't'your eyes are really beautiful," He smiled again.
Rubina shook her head. Was he serious or was he just playing games. Something tugged at her heart telling her to trust him but she dismissed the thought as she jumped up. "Want some coffee?"
Tan Bheega Hai Sar Geela Hai
Uska Koi Pech Bhi Dheela Hai
He smiled as he watched her hustle around the kitchen. She was definitely the type to keep busy when she got nervous and that made him find her even cuter than when he first saw her look down at him from her balcony.
She was acutely aware of the intense way he was staring at her and she could feel the goose bumps along her arms even though she was covered in her bulky sweatshirt. This feeling scared her. Was this what some of her friends would call love? Or was it mere attraction?
Tanti Jhukti Chalti Rukti
Nikli Andheri Raat Mein
"Can I help?" She was startled as she felt his breath by her right ear. She involuntarily shivered and he smiled. "I won't bite,"
"I know that," she replied as she found her lost voice again. "I was just scared I'd spill the coffee," she covered.
"I'm sure," He winked as he grabbed his mug and walked away.

She couldn't understand him. He seemed to demure and cute and flirty and adorable that she wanted to jump into his arms right at the moment but something gave her the idea that her sister, who could pretty much walk in the door any second, wouldn't really approve of that.
"How's the coffee?" she asked as she sat down next to him.
"Perfect,"
Tum Hi Kaho Ye Koyi Baat Hai,
Hmm
She rolled her eyes in response. "Have you even tried it yet?"
"Course I have. The hazelnut cream is the best part,"
"Oh." Rubina looked back down at her mug. She thought he was giving her a compliment but then she just shook her head.
"You know what the best ingredient is?" Preet leaned closer to her and their cheeks were nearly touching.
"What?" she asked breathlessly. She wasn't used to a guy having this type of reaction on her and it frightened her.
Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si
Soti Raaton Mein Jaagi Si
"Your touch," He lightly reached out and tugged a still wet strand of her hair behind her ear.
"My touch?" she whispered back.
He nodded. "When I got here the rain drops that touched my face fell from you, and now this coffee you made it. Your touch changed my whole outlook to rain,"
Rubina smiled as she saw his hand still resting on her cheek.
"Thank you," He said softly.

She shook her head as she smiled back at him. "You don't have to thank me."
Tum Hi Kaho Ye Koi Baat Hai
Hmm
She was thrilled. He was being honest she saw it in his eyes. He was someone she could grow to love despite his sudden quirkyness but of course she had that as well; made them perfectly compatible. Her only worry now was that her sister wouldn't kick him out when she knew how Rubina felt about him.
