Self made stars - Truth

For some, Bolywood is the ultimate dream. Acting with superstars, wearing designer clothes, going to award functions etc. However, this dream is nearly impossible in Bollywood. Bollywood is not a film industry, it is a film faternity. All that matters is realtions and godfathers.
If your a star child, you ateast get somewhat noticed. You can attend award functions and occasionally give interviews and media bites. Maybe not alot but atleast a little. If you are good looking or even decent looking star child, you sign four or five films right away( Esha Doel,Tushaar Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, AKshaye Khanna, Saif Ali Khan). If you are talented and can actually act(Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor) you have a pretty promising future. And if you can manage to continue doing hit films because of your parents, friends, godfathers, or family name, you become a star and BOOM-you've made it and everyone raves how your talented and one of the brightest stars in the industry- I mean fraternity.

Sure some of the names listed above are supremely talented and good actors. Sure some of them have reached superstardom. Sure some of them are Bankabale stars. BUT- they were noticed, given a chance to act in a movie, and helped out alot more than a regular aspring actor who may be more talented, good looking, and a better actor than any of them. But those aspriring actors hardly get noticed in this "fraternity".
*That is why i would like to highlight some names of actors who i truly admire for making it in the industry despite not haveing a famous surname or godfather.

However, this list is very short compared to the one earlier. These are stars who made in solely on their talents, personality, looks, acting, appeal and not because of their surname and family connections within in Bollywood. Sure some of them were in beauty contests and that helped them out alot. But Beauty contests are a measure of talent and spark and thus they worked hard to win that title in the first palce. They were not born with that title. They have truly struggled and are the real stars.
So the truth is that TODAY"S Bollywood is a result of yesteryears Stars'( Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Jitendra, Rakesh Roshan,Rajesh Khanna, Raj Kapoor, Hema Malani, Sharmila Tagore, Dimple Kapadia, Jaya Bachchan etc.)children. The children owe it to their parents' name, talent, fame, hard work, and money from which they (the children) made it big in Bollywood today.

We Should instead respect and admmire the non-filmy background stars who have made it big in Bollywood. They have truly worked hard and deserve the star status.
