Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince is being released today. Got to see it. Okay enough movie but I guess like a lot of people who have read the book, I am never going to be entirely satisfied with the movie version.
But which movie adaption of a book have you seen, didn't disappoint?
For me strangely enough, even though it was poorly reviewed, it had to be The Da Vinci Code. Just to see exactly all the locations, artefacts and art mentioned in the book was what made the movie for me. And it didn't deviate too much from the book. So, which is your favourite movie version of a book? 😊

mine are harry potter series..man...were they amazing..i mean...yeah...the whole book cannot be adapted in a two and a half hour movie...but still..the effects shown were mindblowing and no one could ever have imagined such a kind of thing...three cheers...

and then there is namesake...the movie and the novel are equally good....no cmparison...is it?

The Lord of the Rings movies I found were actually true to the books for the most parts and the 1995 BBC version of Pride and Prejudice was really good as well.

Great Topic!!...Probably loads I'm forgetting but...

Trainspotting was AMAZING! I Liked the Kite Runner too...despite minor peevs.

Just watched the BBC production of Little Dorrit (Dickens) and thought it was Mavellous!!...

Everyones agreed on Pride and Prejudice for sure!! ITV''s Persuasion was pretty good!

The Lord of the Rings missed out some important parts and I think that probably down to editting but it was decent enough.

HATE all the Harry Potter adaptations (though I still go to watch them! LOL...it's a disease)...except perhaps The prisoner of azkaban...the actors are good enough but poor direction has been its downfall!

THE WORST (as far as I could remember) has to be...Northern Lights or (the šŸ˜• american version) Golden Compass, The Tennant of Wildfell Hall..(OMG!) AND the ITV production of EmmašŸ‘ŽšŸ¼...and I'm sorry to say...but TOM HANKS?? as Robert Langdon...the book was pretty crappy but his performance was abysmal 😲!!...There were many things wrong with it...they maintained some of the important aspects of the book but as a film its truly shocking...and the ending?? What was that about.

Yeah... mean if u watch HP 6 as a movie....its okay but as an adaptation OMG😲 its not really good....

Yeah Namesake was good, also BBC's Jane Eyre...it was pretty good actually......

But P.S. I love you - I found the movie more interesting than book even though it has some really very severe changes......

i think the movie a walk to remember did justice to the book, yet for some reason i prefered the movie over the book this time.
