I think Indians are more environmentally conscious and aware than Americans. The large population and rural spreads just make implementation more difficult. So many shows touch the problem of pollution, even spiritual leaders talk about climate change and taking care of nature.

Its a refreshing contrast to the States where a large group of people believe that climate change is a lie and man has no influence on nature.

Bangladesh had banned plastic bag (polythene) a long time back - though at first no one seemed to follow it, now rarely do I come across people who carries a plastic bag with them while shopping while shopping. I mean the idea of carrying plastic bag is extremely unrealistic to me, as I haven't seen any for ages. Can't believe India hasn't done it yet.

plastic bags should be banned completely.......it is harming us and even the environment we live in........plastic bags cannot be recycled and even reduced but if banned may be it can be.......
