Hmmm... Interesting 😆
Rakhi Sawant is a big name, and the controversial and bold personality itself is enough to bring attention... and throw the Swayamvar concept into the mix, and you have a show which will definitely get noticed!
The Swayamvar thing is a unique concept, and so of course, at least for curiousity value, it will have a good run at the start, and if there is any quality to it, it will have a decent run to the finish also 👍🏼
Anyways, it's Rakhi's Swayamvar... not Mr Ram Kapoor's. I'm sure that for whatever reason, his fans did tune in to watch that show... but I must point out that Mr Ram Kapoor's fans alone weren't able to stop Kasamh Se from being quite a dismally rated show in the last half-year of it's run on Zee (all the other Zee primetime shows were consistantly ranked higher), his presence, and even his very early departure on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 3 didn't result in anything noticable for the ratings either. And therefore, whilst feature his feature roles didn't do much lately, I don't think that his fleeting appearances as a host can account for huge TRP numbers.
But yeah, the fact that it's a decent channel, the curiousity value of the Swayamvar, the direct impact on the life of a big start like Rakhi Sawant, and the media hype for the show definitely are reasons for it's strong start 👍🏼
I wish Rakhi all the very best 😊
Anyways, as mentioned more times than I can count till, these AMAP numbers look nice... but let's face it, shows across India do NOT get TRPs of 10+ ! The AMAP system looks at a small population somewhere, rather than across the board.
The People Meter system is skewed the the south (because let's face it, SUN TV is not the number one channel in India!).
The best system is the one which measures GRPs... they will give the best indication of how the TV shows performed this week 👍🏼
As well as the positive start that Rakhi's show has gotten, I trust that Jyoti will also be strong -- after all, it's not too far since that memorable wedding took place.
God bless.
