Irrespective of right and wrong, my mil told me that this is true a pregnant woman cannot take pheras...like what dadisa said.
there is only one exception to this...that a woman pregnant with the child of the person with whom she is getting married to, can take the pheras.....as then the child is the daughter (if it is a girl) of the husband....and they two cannot be considered married under any circumstances.
Well, an easier, but slightly illegal option could have been to get the sex of the kid tested...anyhow dadisa has such a clout on the hospital doctors.....if it was a boy thany anyhow there won't be any issues. 50% chances of solving the problem easily.😆

the writers are creating newer and weirder problems. now ppl like me who never knew abt gauna, not taking pheras while pregnant etc also know abt it. when k shows got popular we found ppl all over india from all communities started following gujrati and punjabi customs like mehendi ceremony, married women wearing mangalsutras etc. i wont be suprised if we soon start seeing certain backward customs being shown in tv shows start getting emulated too.

When the serial begins they give a huge write up about how they want to transform the society. Now with new funny rules and regulations they are telling things people never knew..Weird instead of empowering women, showing that they are too important they are showing something else..they are trying to show that a women needs to either give up her child if its born after the wedlock or just shunted to someone else's house..top it with a person lying to his parents.....whats the message? Change doesnt come with lying..change always comes with the truth
