ahah, yeah, but their intention isn't really to 'ruin her khusi'
they're just there to see her happy.
and Sudha didn't do anything... :S

I agree w/ S&S above.

The family may not want to ruin her khushi (those who did aren't there in the first place - Brij & Sushma bailed, and Padma wasn't allowed to go), but they do risk embarrassing her.

Look at it this way. They are her family. If Jyoti wanted them there, she'd have given Kalpana the green signal to call them, and at least spell out who she wanted, and who she didn't. In such a situation, whoever she let in would have been the co-hosts of the wedding from the bridal side. Let's say she had called all 4 of them, excepting Padma. In that case, they would have been the lardkiwali party, and co-hosted it from her side. (Thinking about it some more, I can see more clearly why Jyoti thought it was a bad idea - she can't have her own father there, while having Kalpana's mom acting as her own mom) That's the place where the family belongs. There's obviously something wrong if they are not there, and Jyoti and her in-laws were embarassed and at a loss to explain when Panchi, probably looking for Deepu, asked her where her folks were.

Now, if these 4 were to come in as guests, it would look absolutely ridiculous. Either they are the co-hosts, or they don't belong there. How often have you heard of people visiting their own daughter's/sister's wedding? Jyoti obviously is not in the mood to accept them back, so for them to go there uninvited was unwise, and totally emotion driven. Granted, they'd (probably) never see Jyoti get married again, so I can understand why they want to see her. But there are consequences to their behavior, and since Jyoti did not want them there, they should have taken a hint and not gone.

Let's say they go in, and then the people there, say Panchi & her dad, ask where her mom is. What is KK going to say? Is he going to wash their dirty laundry here, on this occasion? I feel bad that they spent all that money on gifts, but that notwithstanding, they don't deserve to be there.

Yeah, normally, Jyoti might be happy to see them. But on this occasion, she's going to be nothing short of embarrassed. I do hope the guards manage to either keep them out, or get to ask Jyoti whether or not to allow them in.

Let her decide.
