She should not even appear for the exams because Brij will not want her to - this is another way of him showing her he is an idiot.

I want Sushma to pass. It's not like passing Class XII will leave her w/ a senior exec position @ Airtel. Let her pass, and then be pressured by Brij to earn money any other way - she'll then appreciate how tough it is, if she doesn't already.

Any vengence towards her should be in other forms of humiliation, like when she dances.

Actually, I just now saw that part. One bizarre thing about Brij was that the same Brij who scolded Sushma for returning Jyoti the money she used to pay her exam fees is now totally unaffected about Sushma missing her exam. Remember, on the day of the dance, he was very rude about how he woke up Sushma, didn't tolerate her oversleeping, but on exam day, he made only a modest attempt to wake her up, and when she didn't, he just let her sleep through and get up at 10:30.

Incidentally, if Sushma had to get up to study, wouldn't 8:00 have been too late, assuming exam was at 10? She should have set the alarm for 6:00 or something.
