I actually liked the flashback just because I liked the acting. It was actually interesting BUT it did take away from what was happening at the prom. Their prom felt very rushed and out of the blue to me.

^yes the prom did feel rushed and things did seem out of place with the flashback, they shoulda made those two seperate episodes.
