very well said gullicricket..
She wrote Shyam to not tell anyone as it will be bad reputation for her family...🤢
oh my god..thats so funny... I cannot understand that for how long this dumbo sugna will hide this from villagers... as she and her dadi sa already told 5 or 6 poeple about her pregnancy...😆
really hate her now...such a dumb and selfish character she has..😡

Honestly, most people in Suguna's position would
1. Be acutely aware of loss of social status when widowed and would be grieving for all the things lost by them (this was fairly well depicted)
2. Panic when they found they were pregnant (not shown)
3. Would not consider the child an aakhri nishani or anything else but a huge burden to bear in a small village and would actually agree to just about anything elders in the family said - they would be that afraid of social ostracism
4. Would be intimidated into hiding in the kothri and not be responding to anyone - Shyam or otherwise.
5. Would find it hard to go to Madan Singh's house in the dead at night and lobby a piece of paper to the height of a balcony - oh what the heck! now I am being picky!

agree on these...but then u see why suguna has romantic notions abt the baby and its future...if she were educated i wud have thought she reads lots of mills and boons novels. in fact maybe she does read mills and boons types of hindi books and only thing she has dreamed of is a life with pratap.
my main grouse is more against bhairon-sumitra....being suguna's parents they should have been shown atleast trying to take a more humane approach and making suguna understand that going for an abortion is the best option for her. afterall they didnt want to perform her gauna for the same reason that she might end up a very young mother. so rushing to pratap's house with the 'good' news should have been the second option after abortion was ruled out.

I agree Pratap had to be secretive...but had he been little more matured he would have controlled his feelings and waited for their gauna to consummate their relationship. Also Jagya and Anandi knew about his secret meetings and on many occassions they too used to accompany Sugna but Pratap never brought anything for the kids. I know Shyam brings stuffs as an excuse to be around Sugna yet I find it better as he is trying to win the family's heart while wooing Sugna...😆

😆 well pratap's situation was different. he must have met suguna for the first time during their marriage and didnt really need to woo the family. but yes shyam is a smart boy. 😉

"jhoothe thaali mein kaun khana chahega"....i find it disturbing that in today's age someone could actually think like that and use such words

why should sugna suddenly be ok with marrying him out of her own accord

she is deeply engrossed with the memories of her husband who died just three months ago! can someone really be expected to accept proposals when in that state
as far as giving the baby a name is concerned, yeah that is a good point, but does she look like she's in any sort of mental state to think about what is good for her and the baby in the long run (if she had she'd likely have agreed to the abortion)
she's a child!!

wouldnt it be more odd if she suddenly said 'oh shyam i love you too.' or 'oh shyam you are doing me a big favor. main tumhara ehsaan zindagi bhar nahi bhooloongi and i will be your slave for the rest of your life'

i mean seriously??

just cause shyam is a fun/sweet character ppl are so opposed to someone being rude to him
in the setting they live in it is not appropriate for a guy to talk to a widow like that (and while i admire him for it), how is sugna supposed to react to his advances.
she's confused. she already has too many things complicating her life. she just wants to be left alone

my main grouse in this situation is that suguna's parents have suddenly been sidelined. earlier they have been shown to be worried abt sending her to her in-laws early since they didnt want their daughter to have the same fate as basant's first wife. but since the news of her pregnancy came in they have been unusually quiet. its quiet expected that an uneducated 16 year old girl will think she can lead her life without anyone's help and bring up a baby which is illegit in the world's eyes on her own. plus yes she wants to mourn pratap her whole life too.
but where are her parents? they shld have tried to convince her to have the abortion on health grounds even before going to pratap's parents. if she doesnt understand or has a rosy picture of her situation they shld have attempted to show her a realistic picture instead of just leaving her alone in her kothri. by doing so she will prolly continue to repeat her teenage mistakes.
