Isn't Shyam-Sugna track moving too fast?

Sugna is not giving any thought to her future with the baby apart from the great big motherly talks with the unborn child. The scene where Sugna blurts out a huge thing like her pregnancy to a stranger was not very convincing. Even after Shyam comes to know about it there was not much reaction. The expression of his feelings on the rooftop also comes across as too soon and immature.. just like Sugna is hung up on Pratap..this guy has thrown his thinking to the wind in his love for Sugna. Now if Sugna accepts his proposal so soon her love for Pratap will be questionable.. if she does not she will come across as stupid for rejecting someone like Shyam in her situation. Dunno why the writers are in such a hurry..maybe they want to dwell upon the family's and society's reaction to this whole track. But the emotional bonding between these two characters is just not good enough for me.

In this show Dadisa is cruel and rude, Basanth follows her blindly, Bhairon speaks once in a while but most of the time it proves fruitless.. Sumitra is non-existent, Sugna is more of a pain than help, Anandi is more irritaing than help, Jagya is unconcerned.. only the 19 yr old Gehna seems to have her brains working right. I admire her character a lot.šŸ‘

Thanks for articulating this so well. With Farida Jalal's abrupt disappearance, this show seems kind of stranded, but I like the Suguna and Shyam track so far. This story line has to move fast as Shyam's family has to accept Suguna, wonder how that is going to happen with her being a pregnant widow.........

I don't think this track is moving fast.....I found the rooftop scene when she blurts out the info about her being pregnant to be very realistic.....Shyam's reactions were apt and very well enacted.

As for the question of emotional bonding....the way things currently stand...it has been shown that Shyam has been attracted to her since day one....the pain and sadness in her eyes calls to him....Sugna is uncomfortable with that since she is still deeply immersed in memories of Pratap.

I think their proper relationship will only develop after they get married.....that is when they'll develop a deeper, more emotional bond....and in all likelihood, Sugna will marry him under some kind of pressure......

i think the pace of suguna-shyam track is fine and so are their reactions with each other. lets not forget both of them are young and have plenty of jawani ka josh. šŸ˜†
but yes i wish we didnt have this pregnancy track and instead we had suguna falling for shyam slowly rather than marry him under some pressure while still holding a candle for pratap. thats so kkektaish!

and yes gehna's character is very mature and while she isnt too trusting like sumitra nor is she is too judgemental like kalyani.

I guess Sugna does trust Shyam sumwat and does take him as a friend..or else she wudnt hav blurted out the thing abt her pregnancy to him ... its just that she is in denial of his friendship also and unable to understand why he is good to her wen she face wud face rejection at this truth.
I personally wudnt want to see the same marrying under pressure track...that wat seems the most likely right now..yet i m hoping we get to see something different.

I think they are trying to move the track quickly so that the unborn baby gets a father.
If there is a widowed bahu of Suguna's age in Madan Singh's house, he obviously marries his children early and does their gauna early as well. He is unlikely to have left his son unmarried for this long a time (22 years?)
I recall having Rajasthani friends in college who were already married. It would not be unusual for the wife to stay back in the village with the in laws while the husband is getting an education in the city.
Madan Singh would find it completely unacceptable to accept Suguna as his bahu, its his ghar ki izzat ka sawaal....
The track would have been more realistic if Shyam was a friend of Madan Singh's son who was visiting the family from the city and was not bound by their customs.
Another option for the track would be that they had completed the ostracization of Suguna....childbirth, villager denouncement, alienation, search for identity....etc. Sometimes you need to move away from home to find yourself. They could have even shown her getting an education, moving to a city and then finding a new life for herself, and maybe, a new husband.
On a practical note, how many people do you know in India's cities who would marry a widow with a child unless they were themselves divorced or had lost their spouses? I know only of one such person...and he is a pretty amazing person. And his parents were heartbroken at his choice. That is the city...and we are talking about the village here!

i m kind of loving sugna shyam track. According to me shyams enacted everything perfectly after knowing the reality. Sugna kind of trusts shyam that is why she blurted out to him about her pregnancy. Somewhere in her heart she has feelings for shyam but she has somehow buried those feelings because of her grief after prataps death. Shyam sugna track is moving quite well but i would have loved if this pregnancy track had not been introduced and sugna would have slowly fallen for shyam.
but anyways i love the way their track is building up. Love shyams character and his awesum expressions, his warm smile and his wink.😳😳 Vikrant is really doing a great job.šŸ‘šŸ‘
and yes Gehna seems to be the only one concerned about sugna and her future. She is the only one racking up her brains.

you are right...but if they went the practical way suguna wud have to move away from the village to probably a less conservative family so wud there be any drama ie family drama with her in-laws? and if not how will the show go on? i mean no self respecting show should end before it completes 1000 episodes.
