Am Tamil too... yes, that saying fits DM well here..

But I have to disagree with you about Hiten. He has not shown any integrity or any strength of character! His change of heart came only because he is drooling over Khemi forgetting what relationship his father has with this house. Only goes to show that not only is DM denying Santo the respect of a wife, his adult son also does not recognise that. Am not a fan of Hiten's character. He is just mad with his dad for no reason, is not helpful to his dad and anyway, and just sits around complaining. Santo is 5 years younger and has much more grit.

Let us not compare DM to Hiten to criticise him. DM's faults are not related to Hiten. They are his alone..

Hiten has a loooooooooooooooooooooon way to go to match up to DM!

😊 hey opti n rasik a , i beg to differ a lil , pls. don't say he isn't approachable , let me remind u scenes with kadambari before her engagement , her fears n doubts , he tried to talk to her , ppullllllllllllllllllllllllllllllleeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz see that episode , he said even her mom(subhadra) was bit dubious n all, kaddu was rather vague on her relutance ( saying she wants to know the groom , if she can be bold to say that ofcourse she can say to delay the marriage a longer than 3 months to know abt duggu more) n why didn't she tell duggu or her mausi like meghna abt al this , hahahahhaahah too many discrepencies )😆 , ok coming to topic , she had more 2 occassions to tell him when he was all soft n affectionate father with her ,n she didn't tell ba n her nanji too abt all this , n i don't approve of kaddu's behaviour with santu was humilated over been caught with sandeep in her bedroom ( hugging) instead of gulity , kaddu came n started poisoning taru n her father against her😕

well well we all think what we want to think n try to relate characters with our own personal relations ,😊which is ok but pls be unbiased n observe what he said to kaddu on3 occassions before her engagement n marriage HE WAS ALL APPROACHABLE AND ALL FATHERLY AS ANY FATHER CUD BE IN THOSE SCENES AND PART OF DRAMA👏

yes i do agree he was unfair to santoo , well i think latter too was going overboard to prove herself a mahaan momsy , all the while she had compassionate hiten to her side to seek the solution😕, how come we all r ignoring kaddu 's strong relation with her bro hiten , whom she said more than once he is always there for her n understands her😲

DM was unfair to santu but but buttttt didn't deserve this humilation becoz of his selfish n biased daughter

Why should Hiten think about what relation his father has with this house when his father himself does not recognise the chokri as his wife? Why should he suppress his legitimate feelings for a woman who is attractive, intelligent and good at heart for the non-existent relationship his father so forcefully thrust on him? Where is the justice here?

His change of heart came long before he developed feelings for Khemi. He was changed by Nanaji's words. He was changed by seeing the abject poverty he saw these people live in and still try to treat him with respect. Remember the dialogue he told his mamaji about Nanaji being the real heera and he will never betray him? He developed a soft corner for Mongi before he fell for her sister. He fed the poor village girl (mongi's friend) when he realised she was starving.

He had always honoured his family. He had defended his father against the likes of Jag mohan and his mamaji when they spoke ill of his father even though he himself was angry with him. He took on the punishment of his brother not only because he wanted to protect his younger brother but also because he felt that he was in a way responsible for the cow's death. It was he who had first snatched her from Mongi and then left her alone on the road to be hit by Maulik. When he broke the diamond he felt guilty. He did not try to run away but wanted to make amends.

When he saw Mongi in the well he did not think twice about his own safety but jumped after her to save her. He wept for the little girl who he barely knew two months before. He stayed with her and helped her regain her senses. He is a true man as his father himself admitted. He has his father's sense of righteousness but also his mother's sensitivity which makes him a lethal combination. Yes, he was complaining and moaning initially. Afterall he has had to face so much is so short a time, especially when he has always led a sheltered life. It took him time to grow and understand the world for what it is and he has shown a remarkable progress. He was flawed but he is improving. I would like to see DM also make a similar progress. His character growth right now seems stunted.

Right now even Shashank looks more righteous than DM does. Dharamraj better live up to his name.

I am not saying that DM deserves the humiliation. All I am saying is that DM failed as a dad. In this scenario I would give the following ranking for being at fault. ! for maximum and 3 minimum.

1. Kaddu - for being selfish and not bothering about the disgrace she was bringing to her family inspite of being repeatedly told of it by Santo.

2. DM - for trusting his daughter blindly but not letting her have a choice by imposing his views on her and for not listening to Santo when she had initally tried to alert him about his daughter and instead shout at her, threatening to send her away if she so much as speaks ill of her.

3. Santo- for still sticking by this ungrateful family at the risk of her own reputation and honour.

Wow, i missed all this action, but better late than never!

was down with fever and the very first thing that i did after getting well was to watch friday's epi and come at the forum...

this is one of those topics that has received such gr8 comments and you guys have written your views such wonderfully well that I have been left with no words to add... :)

waiting for monday now, to see santo's and the family's reaction on the revelation of duggu's first love! and yes loved the fact tht subhadra's mom stood for santo, that was unexpected atleast for me! :)

I just hope they are not setting up DM to follow down the merry path of other BT heroes. You know the ones who initially distrust and mistreat their wives, only later on to fall madly in love with them. And thereafter they will never doubt or question their wife, no matter what hare-brained scheme she is involved in. Heaven forbid!
